trumps back to suing again, this time TS is suing 20 media companies for defamation. He didn't like the reporting it had lost so much money.
He claims they all banded together in a deliberate attack on him (para 52), ignoring the reports that these were from TS financial filings.
I thought the point of this was that they quoted/referenced the filing, which did not provide that figure at all and it can be checked to see it's not the source i.e. someone potentially 'made it up' (or derived it, or whatever) and then all the papers just reprinted the original story. But since the filing could be checked to see that the figure was not given there, they aren't allowed to claim/protected by the fact they were "just re-reporting information". Don't know all the legal terms but that's kind of how it was explained to me i.e. they reprinted something in (supposed) error, when they could have just checked the filing to see it wasn't there.

Again, bothers me not either way but this is not without merit, as I understand it.
This is what started it.
The Guardian read the filing by Digital World Acquisition Corp and worked out the figures they were declaring as they tried to complete the merger with Trump Media & Technology Group. These are what TMTG declared to them in discovery

The figures are in that doc. TMTG had losses of $59m in 2021, 50.5m in 2022 and 22.9m in teh foirst 6 months of 2023

https://www.sec.gov/ix?doc=/Archives/edgar/data/00...

I mean with his current fraud trial, there's all sorts of interesting bits along with the figures the Guardian added up
such as:
Digital World has not obtained an opinion from an independent investment banking firm or another independent firm,
There is no assurance that Digital World’s diligence will reveal all material risks that may be present with regard to TMTG.
Digital World’s management has identified a material weakness in its internal control over financial reporting.

trumps upset because the merger fell through and he didn't get his expected $600m he thought he'd make.

The Guardian article linked everything to the Digital World filing, so I can't see trump has anything to complain about, other than he didn't like his losses being made public?

Cannon delays into 2024 https://www.thedailybeast.com/judge-aileen-cannons...

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon has pushed back what might have been a one- or two-day meeting with prosecutors to review classified documents until February. On Thursday, she also refused to even schedule a court hearing to hear what sensitive national security documents Trump’s lawyers want to use at trial—until sometime after March 1. It’s a one-two punch that will potentially delay the trial by up to four months.

But by keeping her scheduled May 2024 trial date in Florida, she actually made it worse for judges overseeing Trump cases in Atlanta, New York City, and Washington—a feat that’s akin to booking a restaurant reservation one doesn’t intend to keep.

“The tricky thing is, it puts them in limbo. Another judge could schedule something for May but may not want to, because it’s possible trial will still go in May. If you’re a cynic—and I’m not—you might say she deliberately did this,” said Brian Greer, a former CIA lawyer who spent years working on cases involving classified records.

So it is false then. It’s actually lost $132.4m. They forgot to add the 2021 loss in

This is somewhere near my professional expertise. The first and second risk factors above are standard for a de-SPAC. The third is... less usual for an already-listed company, not least because of SOX compliance. But is TBH not unusual for tiny companies without a real management team.

hehe

So Trump is suing these outlets to ensure that they get the correct figure of losses, rather than the reduced amount that people figured out? Got it. Ah, Trump, the purveyor of truth.... I mean, it is called Truth Social after all!

hehe

Also read an article about the failed SPAC for the holding company. I am absolutely no company law expert, but it made for very damning reading. The whole thing was toxic and all of the institutional bankers absolutely walked away. They knew it was BS and when the holding company failed to produce financial figures and then when they did, said that they cant be trusted - well that was the final nail in the coffin. SPAC cancelled, Truth Social on its own and a burn rate that will most likely see it out of cash in the next 6-12 months. And thats before we do any analysis on the number of active users etc - it was doomed from day 1.

Many SPACs have failed to get their deals over the line, and even more have suffered massive share price declines post merger. TS isn't alone in this. It's just rather.... visible deal failure.

Alina Habba has given an interview to the Dailt Wail, claiming she wasn't negotiating a plea deal in the NY Fraud trial, whilst throwing out some more ridiculous claims suach as "Letitia James is fighting for Deutsche Bank." and claiming AG James is extorting trump.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12772661/...

Interesting shes bringing up a single death threat to her from a jailed prisoner at a time trump is fighting his gag order.

As expected, the case to keep trump off the Colorado ballot is going to the Supreme court, as the original judge wanted. She ruled trump “engaged in an insurrection” but felt the State or Supreme court had to set the ruling to keep a candidate off the ballot.

Thats now going to the Colorado Supreme Court on 6 Dec

trump again took advantage of the gag order stay to again attack judges and prosecutors which were completely false and soon debunked
https://twitter.com/tristansnell/status/1727142705...

He was having a proper rant yesterday
Rigged trial, value of magalago, ignoring the value of his name, ignoring his get out of jail statement claiming his figures were worthless, trump hating judge, anger clerk, racists AG, election interference..

It's a full bingo card of trump fraud case ranting
https://twitter.com/ReallyAmerican1/status/1727125...

Do we think he got bad news about the case yesterday?

Again his 'expert' witnesses let him down. Former controller and co-defendant Jeffrey McConney was supposed to be defending trumps valuations, but admitted magalago was valued as a home not as a club, so inflating the value by ignoring the covenant of restrictions.

They've still got the issue of Ivankas flat offered for sale at far less than they valued it at
https://twitter.com/KlasfeldReports/status/1726997...

and again they are still trying to claim it was someone elses fault

Magamob member Frank Giustino of New York got his jail sentence boosted from 21 days to 3 months for his antics in court.

Not repentant at all, he called the prosecutor the 'very definition of terrorism,' called his prosecution 'an absolute clown show of a prosecution,' and claimed he wanted to fire his lawyer and represent himself,

Many think the judge was talking to trump in the Harrison Floyd hearing to revoke his bail. Floyd was claiming he'd done nothing different than trump had

It looks like Floyd's conditions have been narrowed, but many believe he won't keep them and will be jailed and should also be seen as a threat to trump

Edit: Floyds new conditions of release. Judge found he was trying to contact witnesses or have them read his posts on social media

No idea how he isn't back in prison - i.e.
exhibit 20: "Ms Ruby needs a body guard or she's going to get Epsteined."
Exhibit 21: Same image from Exhibit 20 adding reply: "Ruby is going to get virtually slaughtered under cross and Fani will face charges if she's allowed to live until then."

More GOP voter fraud
Kim Phoung Taylor, the wife of Iowa Republican Jeremy Taylor, was found guilty of 52 criminal counts of false voting information, fraudulent registration, and fraudulent voting linked to the 2020 primary,

She's stuffed ballot boxes with election forms she coerced Vietnamese immigrants with limited English to complete, discovered when people found someone else had already voted in their name.

Potentially 5 years jail time for each offence.
Out of those potential 260 years how many is she likely to serve?

Also is it just me or is there something of an irony in GOP senior bods marrying someone whose name sounds so much like an immigrant and then that person using definite immigrants to carry out the fraud?

Maybe Jeremy Taylor is a moderate Republican?

Speaker Johnson took the trip to magalago. Wonder what rtump offered him or threatened him with to carry on pushing the impeachment against Biden without any proof. Election interference is OK provided it's done by trump/GOP it seems

He also praised Johnson for releasing 6 Jan video's, which Sedition Hunters are using to identify previously unidentified magamob members

Johnson was a fully paid up supporter of trumps Big Lie after he lost the election

Your name will also go on the list, what is it?

Don’t tell him, Byker!
