45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. Vol 2

it's not got him yet. Granted, it's a train crash of a Presidency and pretty much what most sane onlookers assumed it would be but his core supporters are perfectly happy with him so (as far as he's concerned, All Good.
74 days only and look at the shambles so far.Potentially another 1,400 days or so to go.
Plenty of time yet for a truly epic departure.

I can't imagine getting through a day with such thin skin. I'd love to understand the world he inhabits which leads him to believe this is a good thing to tweet as PRESIDENT.
Does he understand how debates work, there ain't just one correct answer, maybe he is confusing it with exams.I can't imagine getting through a day with such thin skin. I'd love to understand the world he inhabits which leads him to believe this is a good thing to tweet as PRESIDENT.

Reading that the consequences of that will echo down the generations and some commentators on both sides are saying they are both to blame.
How the hell can judges be so partisan.

But how do you know who to "narrowcast" to. And if you pursue that route - you end up making your base smaller rather than larger as you target those who agree with you already.
The crash in Trump's approval ratings seems to indicate that trying to please your hard core "narrow" base is self defeating.
Cambridge Analytica are estimated to have something like 5,000 data points per Facebook user, which will give them a massive dataset of groups of like minded individuals to target. That could fall into any number of categories, from "core support" to "likely to be swayed" or "opinion former". They'll also doubtless have a vast collection of social media and comment section bots ready to spew forth at the click of a mouse, not to mention friendly academics and media commentators. That's not to say it's one sided, as Hilary certainly has the same sort of operation, it's just that Bannon / Mercer were better at it.The crash in Trump's approval ratings seems to indicate that trying to please your hard core "narrow" base is self defeating.
The information that has an organisation has to allow it to find who to target is the exact same information that another (or even the same) organisation can also use to assess the effectiveness of how the message is "going down" with said target.

It all sounds like a circular discussion to me.

Did you read the Motherboard article? It seems not. The CA data set is proprietary; the data on which ads were served to which voter is commercially confidential. There is no way in for another organisation to poll the affected voters. The information that has an organisation has to allow it to find who to target is the exact same information that another (or even the same) organisation can also use to assess the effectiveness of how the message is "going down" with said target.

Which did lead to the classic hashtag of #JustAskingI can't imagine getting through a day with such thin skin. I'd love to understand the world he inhabits which leads him to believe this is a good thing to tweet as PRESIDENT.
Classics such as,
Did you apologise to Obama for Birthism, just asking
Did you apologise to the women you assaulted, Just Asking
Did you apologise to those you fleeced at Trump University, Just asking etc etc

So the NSA chief of the sitting administration requested the names of Trump's team to be un-redacted from security information obtained from trawls of comms between non-US citizens and Trump's administration. As she was entitled and authorised to do by rules introduced in 2011 by Obama to aid the fight against terrorism or other anti-US actions.
If it turns out Trump or his team did in fact have illegal contact with Russia or anyone else during the campaign she will be a hero for helping uncover it. If the Russia story comes to nothing, she will have done nothing wrong.
Oh, and neither Cernovich nor Zerohedge say anything about a leaker being unmasked. The only leak mentioned is the Trump team blab to Nunes.

Zero Hedge is a batst insane Austrian school finance blog run by two pseudonymous founders who post articles under the name "Tyler Durden," after the character from Fight Club.Wikipedia's W.svg It's essentially apocalypse porn. It has accurately predicted 200 of the last 2 recessions.

White House lawyers discovered last month that Susan Rice, a national security adviser in the Obama administration, requested that identities of U.S. citizens be revealed in raw intelligence reports connected to President Trump's transition team, So why sit on it so long?
I mean it was white house officials who passed the information to Nunes, one of those who did has a wife whos job is PR for Russia in the US... Just another russian link..

It seems the main source of these "leaks" is the White House itself. The finger is pointing directly at Trump himself.I mean it was white house officials who passed the information to Nunes, one of those who did has a wife whos job is PR for Russia in the US... Just another russian link..

The man is a total disgrace to the office. Is he America's biggest ever political mistake?
Theres a story doing the rounds now is that Trump fired U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara while he was prosecuting Victor Podobnyy, the Russian spy who had first recruited Trump’s campaign adviser Carter Page into the Kremlin fold.
Trump fired Bharara in a last ditch effort to derail the prosecution of Podobnyy, before it could reach the stage where the public would have learned that Podobnyy was Carter Page’s Russian handler. But that information has now leaked today anyway by buzzfeed, and it all but confirms that Page was acting as a Kremlin mole or asset the entire time he was working for the Trump campaign.

I think there is a bit of a panic regarding who spied on who and the team in the Whitehouse want to sully the waters with pre emptive tweets and pressers. Zerohedge just reads like RT so given up on them.
Still looking like the Trump team were caught when they were looking at Russians.

Schiff went to see the documents on Friday. Whilst he hasn't said whats in them, he did say: "But the most important thing people need to know about these documents is not classified, and it's a couple of things. First, the deputy assistant to the White House informed me when I went to see them that these are exactly the same materials that were shown to the chairman.
Now, this is a very interesting point. How does the White House know that these are the same materials that were shown to the chairman, if the White House wasn't aware what the chairman was being shown?
And the second point was also made to me. And this is — I think was also underscored by Sean Spicer — and that is, it was told to me by the deputy assistant that these materials were produced in the ordinary course of business.
Well, the question for the White House and for Mr. Spicer is the ordinary course of whose business? Because, if these were produced either for or by the White House, then why all of the subterfuge? There's nothing ordinary about the process that was used here at all."
Maggie Haberman at NYT also sat on the shocking Rice revelations.
Just a reminder that Haberman is paid propagandist:
"We have has a very good relationship with Maggie Haberman of Politico over the last year. We have had her tee up stories for us before and have never been disappointed. While we should have a larger conversation in the near future about a broader strategy for reengaging the beat press that covers HRC, for this we think we can achieve our objective and do the most shaping by going to Maggie."

Yarp. It is all spin, I take a look at all sorts but your reliance on zero hedge has put me off looking their way, I ca almost predict what they will say. Or rather the slant. It is interesting to see which stories Brietbart and infowars run and at what times for example. That give me a better idea as to what is going on. The Hill or Politico will run a story but the way the former do seem to be closer to the want of the staffers at HQ.
I have said this before, a few years down the line and we will find out what the truth is unless this is about to blow up in everyones faces.
