So when do you think the tipping point will be reached?
A repeat of the Hyde park tunnel protest but by IS and including a dozen gallons of petrol being ignited?

Really the mahem that just a small number could bring would be, is likely to be, appalling. To a large extent many previous attempts were unsuccessful through incompetence. We'd be lucky if that were to continue.

Only if we see a notable amount of support for the IS amongst UK Muslims.
Here's a little clue for you, do you see Muslims in Iraq cheering IS on? Women throwing flowers at them and children chasing them for lollipops? Think about it.

Then those that think this way, need to leave our country, and go to live in a country that they feel happy in as it agrees with their religious beliefs.
What if they're born here?
If they have total disdain for our society, contempt for democracy and wish to impose a theocracy upon the British people, and an ideology that is completely at odds with our hard own culture that has taken thousands of years to evolve and mature, then yes, I'm more than happy for them to leave - quickly.
Ukip?

1000 (if that figure is correct ) Brits fighting for IS - and their families who have not shopped them. That's a fair few people. Hopefully that can now be contained.

Sunni Muslims in Iraq ? Are they fighting/supporting/ignoring IS?

2000 leftist Brits went to fight for the republicans in the Spanish Civil war, when some returned we didn't have a Marxist revolution here.
That being said, I do hope that those who do try to return are apprehended immediately or watched like hawks.

MCB wants people to report suspected people to the Police. Let's see how many honest people there are in the community.

This Sacranie:

"Sacranie became a leading figure of the protest movement in the British Muslim community, and famously declared that "death would be too easy" for Rushdie. "

Interesting post. One point I would like to make, and think about it. Look at the dialogue and the way PH posters speak on these threads. You get the people with the view of religion is bad, and then those that talk about religion as they believe in. Which of those people has the most extreme view? I would argue that the PH posters who favour religion seem far more balanced and rational than those that do not. It's almost like you have to shout down religion to make your voice heard that you hate religion.
I think religionists on here tend to be happy to believe and happy for someone else to believe differently or to believe in nothing. Then there are the outspoken non-believers who aren't happy in simply not believing, on a personal level, they seem to want everyone to think like them.
It's a weakness thing, a desire to remove fears and to control.

Just to get this right, you want someone, who has possibly beheaded someone and been part of a terrorist organisation 'watched like a hawk' if they come back to the UK?

So will this mean our resources will be further stretched by 'watching like hawks' all these loonies?

The gift that just keeps on giving.

If you are new here - a tip - read a post thoroughly before posting snide comments, have half a clue that snide comments may not be appreciated.
Choose your snide comments wisely too, make sure you are comfortable with the snidiness so that you don't feel you have to change it within minutes.

I am aware the voice on the video is an english accent. However, the person has all but their eyes completely covered - yet there seems to be absolute certainty the person killing the journalist is the same as that talking with an english accent. I don't see why it's not even remotely possible the guy in the video doesn't speak a word of english and they lay the voice over the video. Perhaps our government may not wish us to think so though. Regardless, there seems to be too much emphasis on trying to track down one person in a war zone.

That was the point Obama was making about the Iraqi government being more inclusive of Sunnis. They may not support ISIS outright but find themselves disenfranchised by the Iraqi government and feeling as if they have no choice.
