Are you seriously saying Cox is objective? I like what he does, and yes he's a smart guy... but objective? Does being an astrophysicist involve having your emotions removed or something?
The objectivity is something I was suggesting was lacking in many here reacting to Cox’s comments.

In fairness, you'd expect better than crass generalisation from someone who is meant to be (a) smart and (b) media savvy.

But yes, the war of attrition has driven a few people to see every post as a direct assault on their world view.

Hunt is doing a better job of promoting himself for the job than I would have expected, but I don't know how valid the "Theresa in Trousers" description of him is, other than that he's been a remainer?

No, but a change of PM and a few weeks to think about the very real alternatives, might just be enough to get support for May’s withdrawal arrangement.

Hang on, let me get this straight. You're suggesting it goes like this;

TM: Vote for my WA!

All: No, it's rubbish

TM: Go on, it's the best you'll get. Pleeeeaaase vote for me.

All: We were serious ..... go on, sling your hook

(some weeks pass)

BJ: Huzzah! Wiffwoffwibble caveat emptor dulce et decorum est wahey Bojo here ...... vote for her my WA

All: Really? That's it?

BJ: Proplenitude and pulchritudinous gazoogling, marzipan dinosaurs, that's all you get.

All: Oh, OK then.

I've suggested on Twitter that any incoming Labour Government should have a tax raid on BBC Presenters.
It's getting some interesting responses
I thought that, when the Chesty ginger sky news presenter was talking to Hunt (possibly) about “policies for the rich” as though she wasn’t well off.

It would have been funny if he’d pointed out that she was going to benefit from them and they just high fived each other.

No way she was going to vote for Corbyn anyway.
Fool if she does living in a £1m Notting Hill flat, earning a large six figure salary and having numerous buy to let’s

It's a word that means the exact opposite of how it sounds. Nice.

Is it worth pointing out that he's more likely to find startling examples of pulchritudinous in Waitrose than Aldi?

Possibly, but I suspect that depends on one's definition of pulchritudity (pulchritudinousness sounds clumsy). Like their cheese, biscuits and salami Waitrose has more overt pulchritudity than Aldi, but Aldi has great quality pulchritude which is relatively accessible if a little lacking in presentation at a glance. Just my type.

Has any enterprising Remainer psephologist found a link between pulchritudineity and Remain voting? I'm sure they're all more pulchritudinous as well as being richer, smarter and nicer than Leavers.

They, Remainers, also tend to posess a larger number of alternative poster ID's.
And possibly more returning banned posters. Imo, of course. smile

I think he was misunderstood ,
and actually meant the remainers who want us to be a little province and be further absorbed by a malevolent political construct,
Not the leavers who want to engage and trade freely with the whole world and its peoples.... no !!!

Yes. If you think you’re going to hang onto the word “freely” as if WTO somehow means the whole world opens up then you’re wrong. As a member of the EU we have trade deals in place globally.

Or do you think we’re only allowed to trade with Europe?

Taxes and tariffs set by the EU make it so unless you don't mind being disadvantaged we have to fit in with one size fits all tariff
system, outside the EU like most other counties are we can set our own tariffs ...
