Dyson HQ on the move to Singapore.

Surely not...?

Isn't he one of the UK's biggest cheerleaders for Brexit?
"Two of Dyson’s senior executives will move"

After what the EU has tried to do to his company in the "name of standards", are you surprised he is covering his companies future against them and Labour ?

So you are now blaming the EU and Labour for Dyson HQ moving to Singapore.

That sums it up nicely.

I wonder who is going to fund the sections of the civil service now gearing up to work 24/7?
You fell for it as well laugh

Lammy and Adonis are doing the same, spreading the news that two, yes two executives are moving to Singapore, but of course reporting the fact completely differently.

PS: You're contributing to the funds for the CS work, just like I am, who's whinging?

They wouldn't risk the Irish telling them to FO. The EU is only interested in the border as a pretext for the backstop. If we leave without a deal they'll forget all about it.
Or perhaps not.

That's the point the EU says that but the countries either side of that border say no thanks.
You seem to not get this EU thing. The requirements on goods entering Ireland from a 3rd country are part of Irish law. Are you suggesting a government should ignore the law.

I've never been a fan tbh, we have too many celebrity entrepreneurs who are hailed as British success stories, but offshore everything. But I at least understand the global economics.

Just to clarify, are Brexit supporters on this forum championing Dyson moving his HQ to Singapore.

I think it's a non story but the timing seems odd for a man who championed Brexit.

I think 2 executives moving to Singapore is barely worth a mention, where as:

This is Globalism, not Brexit. How would you be summarising this had we not had a referendum?
That's easy, nobody would mention it because who cares about two jobs moving to singapore if there isn't a wider angle to exploit biggrin
Do you believe that a £3.5bn turnover company will have its head office with only 2 employees?

Perhaps you would like to post the head office staff numbers of similar size companies for comparison.

I suspect it won't be long before the R&D is moved to make it closer to its largest market.

Does Dyson moving its HQ to Singapore mean that’s where it will pay its Corporation Tax?

You've read the BBC article I assume?

Why don't you do what you ask others to do, after all working previously for a big corporate as you did, you of all people should know, yes?

I would imagine Dyson fully moving to Singapore would be largely, or even entirely, offset by Chanel moving to London #DespiteBrexit

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-45517279

BBC said:
The decision - which is understood to involve dozens of jobs - means that Chanel has picked London as the base for its global team over other locations such as New York, or even its creative hub of Paris.
That do ya?
