Is there going to be a public holiday when he passes? Or is there actually no benefit from him for the average person?

Looking at the MOT history, the crashed Freelander had only done 3100 miles in 4 years to its last MOT.

The Duke is obviously not a PH'er, for he would know that diesel only makes sense if you do 30k+ a year, not 700 miles a year!

They're all like that I'm afraid, as any car sales person will tell you, you can sit down with them and do the math, prove to them 100% that it's not in their best interest, they agree, then ps off and just buy it elsewhere.

Philip served with distinction as a young man in the Royal Navy throughout the second world war and was involved in the action during the American landings on Iwo Jima.

He was in the thick of the action, not just an office pen pusher.

I’m sure, right behind General Melchett.

Truth is, he’s pretty worthless to the general public.

As did many others.

That was before he jumped aboard the gravy train.

Imagine if everyone who serves in the forces in their early 20s was given a life of privilege and entitlement for the rest of their lives.

I'm no fan of Prince Philip especially, and I certainly think he should look very hard as to should he still be driving at such an advanced age, especially when he has access to a driver whenever he so wishes, however it seems to me that this thread has been hijacked by anti royalists, using this incident for their own agenda.

As did hundreds of thousands of other British servicemen who fought.

It is difficult to spot, but I've highlighted a section of it for you in this picture. Zoom in if you're still having trouble seeing the cast.

Queenie not wearing her belt isn’t something new. It’s been reported time and time again over the past few years about her not wearing a belt on both private land and public roads. Considering she’s the queen, doesn’t need a license and is immune from any consequences of anything she can do what she wants.

As for Big Phil. Well. He doesn’t need to apologise for anything. Probably been advised not too. Fair enough and we’d all probably do the same.

This woman needs to get over herself. It was a minor crash with no injuries and she’s going on like it was some life changing major incident. Shut up. Go back to your miserable existence and get on with it like the rest of us.

I bet she doesn’t even know what defensive driving is and just ploughed straight into him whilst screaming about it being her RIGHT OF WAY. I sincerely hope it’s found she was partly at fault.

You do realise that plenty of cars show brake lights when the parking brake is applied. Also many cars don't have a handbrake as such.
No they don’t. Regs state that Parking brake / hand brake must not illuminate the rear brake lights.

Auto hold / auto brake can (actually must), yes.... but Parking brake, no.
Autohold on my 2005 e65 bmw 7 series doesn’t illuminate the brake lights (I checked recently when a similar thread started)

Broken wrist is classified as a serious injury if it's in an RTA.

I think it’s a soft cast, i.e thick bandage, but i’m not in the trade and haven’t broken anything for 40 years
