I’m more amazed no one has mentioned Prince Andrew yet.
Why, what sort of Pizza does he like ?
Just a straight forward pizza restaurant.

No sweat.

1200 jobs going? They must have been losing a lot of dough.

Hillarious.
The reality is harsher- imagine if you lost your paper-round for example.

City centres around the world are eerily quiet at the moment, as office workers try to work from home as much as possible. But there is a growing realisation that this is having a huge knock-on effect on small retailers, who rely on footfall.
Who'd have thunk that ? Well, clearly not the Government for one.

Bizarre isn't it. Mind you saying that, I had a friend post on social media their realisation that Deaths with Covid didn't mean Deaths from Covid following the recent hallelujah moment from our esteemed secretary of state for health.

And now it seems you can have CV, recover, and then sometimes in the future die, and it's recorded as CV. So "man eaten by shark dies of Coronavirus" is actually true.

Sorry if you've got all upset over a £13 pizza ..biggrin

Clearly, you have absolutely zero understanding of what many customers actually want [......hint, think of good value.....], preferring to keep highlighting what a wonderful value propsition it is !!
I have no interest in how you can try to justify the price of any pizza, pasta or anything else. My point has always been the same, and that's without adding in all the added profits made through the drinks and extras. Make the total price more appropriate and many more customers will arrive, as if by magic. It isn't rocket science.
More appropriate?

2 pizzas and a bottle of wine for £40. How much more appropriate do you want it to be?

The fact is rents, rates, wages, energy etc. etc. are not free.

Of course if you are a bit of fat fk with loads of kids Pizza Hut with its buffet bar and your Alan Partridge plate might be far better value, fill up on salad and order one Pizza for the whole family and one glass of coke that you can refill and share.

The fact is you will always get people who appreciate paying for a service and those that don't. These days we seem to have more and more who don't, they just want everything as cheap as possible so we will see more and more places where you pay for service disappear.

Stagnant wage growth for 20 years for the average family has that effect. It's really tough for a lot of families to make ends meet.

Hopefully one of the effects of the last few months is people have learned how to cook at home and have seen how that can save money and produce a healthier diet.

Because they sell a bit of cardboard that costs 1p to make for £3.

What used to get me was how they will sell a pack of 20 invite cards for £1. But if you want a single invite reply card, that's £1 as well. I wonder why that might be ?

However, I can't recall the last time I went into a card shop.
