Queenie not wearing her belt isn’t something new. It’s been reported time and time again over the past few years about her not wearing a belt on both private land and public roads. Considering she’s the queen, doesn’t need a license and is immune from any consequences of anything she can do what she wants.

As for Big Phil. Well. He doesn’t need to apologise for anything. Probably been advised not too. Fair enough and we’d all probably do the same.

This woman needs to get over herself. It was a minor crash with no injuries and she’s going on like it was some life changing major incident. Shut up. Go back to your miserable existence and get on with it like the rest of us.

I bet she doesn’t even know what defensive driving is and just ploughed straight into him whilst screaming about it being her RIGHT OF WAY. I sincerely hope it’s found she was partly at fault.
Broken wrist is classified as a serious injury if it's in an RTA.

Do you have kids? If a random decrepit old man drove into them and broke their wrist, you’d be ok with that? Or just ok if the decrepit old man was Phil the Greek?

It’s not even her car. She was the passenger.
The baby was fine and the driver was fine. Why the passenger feels she needs an apology is beyond me.

She's a certified royal loony and has confessed to previously loitering outside Sandringham in an attempt to glimpse the royals walking to church. A letter/card/flowers/taped phone call from a royal would be framed on her wall within 5 minutes of receipt.

Do you have a car? Do you expect bunches of flowers after an accident?

My elderly mother in law had an accident (her fault) and didn't consider sending flowers, letters or anything else. The insurance took care of it.

I have always thought the current self cert for driving doesn't work. Too often an older person causes a crash where someone is injured or killed and their age has been shown to have played a part.

Except their age is never shown to be a part of it.

A health condition (or multiple thereof), which they could be at higher risk for with age, could be a factor. They're still safer than young drivers so I don't see much of a problem.

I don't see a plaster cast - is that just a sprained wrist ?
It is difficult to spot, but I've highlighted a section of it for you in this picture. Zoom in if you're still having trouble seeing the cast.

Hope I'm well enough to walk away from crashing my Range Rover when I'm 97.
I don't think anyone should be driving a car after 80 years of age personally..... and why is the Prince driving anyway when he has access to personal drivers?
It's all very well saying that. But most of the really bad drivers I witness are much younger.

Those that do that thing of driving dangerously just to get one or two cars ahead in traffic.
Those that undertake on the motorway and weave in and out causing cars to slam on their brakes
Those that tailgate
Those that speed
Those that are looking at their phones or on their phones

You can be of sound health when you're 80, so I don't see why you should get your licence taken away at that age.

.

Prince Philip is not immune from criminal prosecution. Its not a minor crash where one car turns over and the other has a broken/fractured bone. It must have been terrifying for them all. Having a baby in the back of one car would add to the shock/fear as well. Any crash involving a baby and a very old person is a major risk of serious injury as their bodies just cannot take much impact.

The woman with the baby clearly had it strapped into a car seat and and that's a good advert for doing so and good on her for doing it right - its can often be done wrongly.

From what's been reported with Prince Philip joining/crossing a main road with a car already on it he did not give way to the car on the main road. Would imagine the police considering driving without due care and attention/careless driving.

I don't usually argue with idiots but on this occasion I think it might be necessary. That's not a plaster cast, it's a bandage, which leads me to believe that the wrist is not broken.
You'll be telling me the Prince was driving a Range Rover next ...

I think that's a synthetic cast, they're lighter than traditional plaster ones...

Of course. And I would be pressing for dangerous driving at minimum.
