Lockdown quiz.

I've been working out anagrams for Extinction Rebellion. The most appropriate one that I've come up with is

NONTOXIC NELLIE TRIBE

Which is how I will think of them from now on.

Can anyone do better?

Extinction Rebellion targets Cambridge businesses during lockdown
The 'Rebels' said the demonstrations took place during their daily exercise

I would argue that a decent prosecution ought to be able to get combined sentences for both criminal damage and infringement of the lockdown; going equipped and with the intent is, in no way, daily exercise.

I hope that the public, who weren't particularly sympathetic with XR's actions anyway, will be still less in tune with their 'emergency' cries now that everyone has had a brush with a real emergency.

We can only hope.
Any protester actually dying for the cause will just be someone vulnerable and brainwashed and it will be as good as murder by the people who've pushed him or her to do that.

Encouraging people to commit suicide protests is only one step away from justifying killing members of the public as a necessary sacrifice. Perhaps more deadly attacks on the places they're just vandalising now.

XR is like a terrorist group in that different branches can do their own thing without being controlled by one central leader. Any loon can do something extreme in the name of XR the majority of XR members may think is going too far.

Cambridge police have form for 'enabling' XR protests so I really would not hold your breath...

I’m guessing it’d be different it was anti-tax protests or fuel protests

I watched some of 24 hour A&E or whatever it's called last night. A Spanish couple, man and his missus were on there - he had had a collision with a car I think while cycling (raising money, awww). Anyway the missus was talking about how they had spent their lives being effectively professional protestors, how they moved to london & were squatters and political activists. They seeked out empty properties and would squat with friends. About how they travelled to Italy for G7 summit etc. got arrested, injured (police brutally naturally) etc

I couldn't help but think how they were so happy to enjoy the fruits of our system they've spent their lives protesting against, as he sat there with many thousands of pounds worth of machines monitoring his collapsed lung etc. I think they said he stayed in a week.
