I am now starting to think that KIJ and NK as a whole are just doing a Chinese torture thing. Slowly dripping at the orange buffoon, a stone in his shoe sort of act just to F him up. Trumpton is so distracted with the wall, healthcare, NK, Clinton, his head might just explode.

A UN test ban that the US/China/Iran/Israel/Pakistan/India etc won't sign but we're all supposed to feel short changed that little old NK is still testing.

The phrase 'Don't do as I do, do as I say' springs to mind.

So the US go to the UN to get them to denounce the North Koreans testing nukes whilst simultaneously refusing to sign a UN global test ban treaty themselves...along with all the usual culprits (ie Israel, Pakistan etc)

LOL
It's probably due to the phrasing of the test ban. I guess it bans ALL testing and may even prevent computer simulation testing in a lab - which is what the US still does.
How exactly do you ban modelling? What once required a room-sized supercomputer from Cray or IBM can now be done on a decent desktop.
...but the buggers keep building 'em room size...

Something to hope for, at least.

I thought Russia had been experimenting with stuff like that hence why that US boat keeps crashing into tankers.
umm not really, if their GPS equipment was faulty they'd notice it long before crashing into anything

the problem with boats crashing is crew working overtime getting tired etc. which is currently huge problem in US Navy especially 7th fleet

Almost a year on and she still can't get over losing the election. I'm sure he's losing a lot of sleep over her.

There has to be way more of a problem than that though doesn't there.

These are massive boats. you just don't crash them. It's not like you can take your eye off the road for a second, several people have to be st at their job for this to happen.

Scary stuff, and a wake-up call to those on here that seem to think we're dealing with a rational state that's being victimised by the US.
It's a heartbreaking read. I wouldn't inflict that suffering on a fly, let alone a fellow human. bds!
Also flatly contradicted in most regards by the local coroner, who wasn't permitted to do a proper autopsy (I had no idea that, in the event of an unexplained death, any modern society would allow the investigation not to occur).

It's certainly not because someone was blindly following their satnav. It's more likely that the captain (or officer of the watch) was at fault...ie making a bad decision.

Sure....and that's the problem. Don't cross this line....oh well....don't cross this line then. And the we wonder why Fat Boy pushes the envelope. Once you are "in" the nuclear club, seems the line gets redrawn.

It adds another very strong point to whether the UK should get rid of trident or not.

Not even thinking about NK, should we fall out with the US it seems they are quite essential.

Ah yes oh naval commander mikal of the nathan james. So what happened as you don't have to guess, did some one drop a fag onto their crotch, or still their cup of tea just at the wrong moment?

My experience is the incidents/near misses I have witnessed with the USAF which were almost all ego related.

I'd say maybe not. The only way out of this situation is for NK to agree to stop playing the tt and verifiably decommission their nuclear program, in exchange for the US stopping military exercises with the South and a steadfast guarantee that Fatty will be left alone to rule his dismal little country just the way he likes.

The first bit isn't going to happen, and therefore - neither is the second.
