"So it turns out that fracking for shale gas really is more effective at making the earth move than all the onanism of the enviros over windmills. We should thus get on with drilling and stop building the bird-choppers."biggrin

A good start!

"Do we all get to be warm and toasty for a century or more or do more pictures fall off Lancastrian walls as they shake and tremble alongside the piercing of Gaia's veil?
Put like that's it's pretty clear isn't it? Sorry, Blackpool."

Seeing as the last earthquakes were only felt by 2 men and a dog, I don't think we have to much to worry about.

This comment's better:

"our descendants will no longer have that luxury"

I know Ug, its cold. But I have decided that it is too wasteful to warm the cave by burning trees. One day our descendants will have no trees to burn.

Hey Ug, Wake up Ug, Speak to me Ug. Uggggggg...

It's not funny, but really funny at the same time...

Allegedly, on Sunday 22 April it's earth day.

Does this mean everybody has to check out connections in the plugs on any mains electrical appliances for safety reasons?

Eco-terrorism is a very real threat that will increase as the enviro fanatics begin to realise the global warming war is lost.

Another comment documenting how warmists are losing the battle.

Britain’s looming shale revolution is a clear victory for those of us who have argued that renewable energy is economically unsustainable and that the exploration of shale gas can provide a huge potential boost to both UK industry and British households. The government’s endorsement of shale gas, together with its gradual rollback of unpopular green schemes and expensive renewables subsidies, comes as a massive blow to the green lobby, which is suffering the longest losing streak for a generation.

And as he says towards the end of that article, those with vested interests will do their best to prevent it happening, I predict much obfuscation and implausible scare stories.... the CRU gang might be getting some new grants soon

As weather is climate when it helps with belief, there's change afoot. In the weather smile

These are two of today's articles easily found online.

"The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for southern and eastern England today, with heavy downpours, hail and thunder likely for the second day running."

"Coldest May for 100 years, Spring will retreat as Winter roars back"

No global warming bbq summer just yet wobble

A bit embarrassing for the Scottish Government

That's probably why they appear to have kept quiet about it for four months. They were probably hoping no one would notice.

So much so that they kept quiet about it for four months instead of announcing the fact.

I'm sorry but this really makes my blood boil. Do they really believe that burying CO2 underground is going to make any difference to AGW (even if it were true).

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-1776...

Please make all this nonsense stop. It's doing my head in.

Isn't the only green objection to nuclear power the storage of waste underground? If all that Co2 gets loose the planet could fry... rolleyes

Of course, that's why they don't want it generated in the first place. carbon capture is a concession, don't you see?

Lots of talk that May is going to be the coldest for 100 years, wonder what the Warmists will be saying about that hehe

Unfortunately, history shows that a cold May is generally followed by a beautiful Summer so I guess they'll capitalise on that for their "Oh noes, the world is boiling over!" scaremongering irked
