How are people going to feel about Charles if he goes full Greta? I feel the royalist types will be the least happy with this?

He has said all along that he has no intention; that his role as King is different to his role as Prince.

Sorry. I was giving my opinion. I very much doubt she will read my post on here, so I doubt I've insulted her. I suspect I've offended a few people who want to get upset about it for the sake of getting upset about it though.

So to all of you that are outraged that I think Camilla looks like a horse, I'm sorry if I offended you.
She does, but time and place, etc.

Wait for the funeral on Monday.
Has she died? yikes
hehe

It’s depressing isn’t it.

He will look, sound and act like a complete hypocrite.

The disconnect between the monarchy and the public is growing all the time. Charles is only going to accelerate the divide.

Any chance you've seen The Queue?

Charles will gently modernise the monarchy for his son and grandson while being a continuation of the Queen's style.

20 years ago I might have agreed with you but I don't recognise your comment for the current situation.

Massive queues. What percentage is that of the country?

Although the queues are huge I still feel the way I do. There has been surveys that agree with my opinion. Younger people are disconnected from the monarchy.

Charles isn't an engaging character and Camilla isn't liked.

"I’m not a monarchist but I was very fond of the Queen and so was my mum and gran. They’re both not here anymore so I wanted to go for them".

I've seen this expressed in various forms during the Jubilee through to The Queue and the Funeral itself, so hopefully it signals a lack of support for the strange king.

Can't help thinking of how different times would have been if it had been Diana with Charles.

Once today is over, I hope he takes a well deserved ccuple of weeks off to recharge and recompose himself.

If people in the reign of Georges, Edwards and Elizabeths are Georgians, Edwardians and Elizabethans,
what are we now? I don't know the correct term is for Charles.

Caroleans or Carolines.

Caroleans from Carolus (latin)

Per wiki: The Carolean era should not be confused with the Caroline era which refers to the reign of Charles II's father, Charles I (1625–1649)

(i think)

Honestly, is there any royal event where someone won’t bring bloody Diana up?

Yes, we’d have had an unhappy king and an attention-seeking narcissist as Queen Consort…..

Honestly, is there any royal event where someone won’t bring bloody Diana up?
Why shouldn't Diana be mentioned given that she was married to our present king ?. She had qualities (evident in William) that might have improved the current monarchy.

Well, she is the mother of the heir to the throne.
