Apart from most states which allow voting with a SSN in the absence of a photo ID. You don’t need a photo ID. If you are poor enough not to have photo ID you almost certainly have a social security number.
That's incorrect. And in any case, the new draconian ID laws have been bought in by certain states on a targeted basis specifically to suppress the vote amongst communities that disproportionately vote democrat. And the voter suppression tactics go way further than unconstitutional voter ID laws. Fortunately most of their attempts are being thwarted in the courts due to the great work of Mark Elias and others. If everyone who was entitled to vote had unfettered access to do so the GOP would be finished and they understand that very well. Hence the ever more desperate attempts to prevent that happening. GA was a huge wake up call.
I really don't understand people- particularly British people- who make such obviously ignorant comments on subjects such as this. You can kind of excuse it for Americans who might not know any better as they're subjected to syndicated bullst and disinformation 24/7 from vast swathes of the US media landscape, but here in the UK you actually have to go intentionally seek out this drivel.

Take the case of Arizona- in this recent Supreme Court hearing, Michael Carvin, who is the lawyer representing the GOP in the case to have two voting restriction requirements that were struck down as unconstitutional reinstated, explicitly states that the reason they desire keeping the statutes in place is "Because it [repealing the legislation] puts us at a competitive disadvantage relative to Democrats".
How about Georgia? Their governor admitted during a live interview that the new voter ID laws and restrictions have nothing to do with fraud.
Then there's the top Trump adviser caught on microphone describing voter suppression as a traditional Republican strategy. It's far from a new phenomenon though. Current and previous GOP figures have been entirely forthright in their reasoning behind voter restrictions in Florida back in 2012. The same is true of other senior Republicans over the last decade.
Some perspective that you won’t find on the Democrat party cheer leaders CNNs coverage

Although he promised to keep Americans safe from harm, Biden has failed to deliver. More than 165,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 on Biden's watch, at a shocking rate of about 1,650 per day. Biden's COVID-19 death toll is roughly equivalent to
3 Vietnams
38 D-Day landings
55 September 11 attacks
69 Pearl Harbors
982 Oklahoma City bombings
Do I blame Biden personally for that huge amount of dead people, not entirely.
But he does deserve some of the blame? Yes, he’s the president, the book stops with him.
The mainstream corporate media where fast to blame every death on Trump, and yet Biden who inherited a far superior situation in terms of understand of the virus and vaccines doesn’t seem to get any blame or attention from the likes of CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc. In fact his coverage is quite the opposite.
Activist journalism on behalf of corporations is why America main stream media is a disaster.

The URL literally had the word Parody in it. I mean, look at the rest of the articles posted in the same section:https://freebeacon.com/parody/
"The moon is US soil"
"Real authoritarianism has never been tried in America, so let's"
I can't believe people are actually this naive. And I'm only saying "naive" as a more accurate description (such as one begining "idio") would invariably result in my post being removed.

The vaccine rollout has been a spectacular success under the Biden administration, having been previously handled with astonishing, perhaps criminal incompetence by the tangerine tit. Things are looking much better as a result in the USA moving forwards. The CDC is also reporting 156k Covid deaths between Jan 20 and April 28

I'm perplexed as to the angle you're taking here, are you seriously trying to somehow hold the Biden administration responsible for covid deaths, despite the demonstrable improvements in so many areas of response?

COVID deaths didn't just miraculously stop on Jan 20th you spanner. The situation here was dire when Biden took over. The progress since has been remarkable but there are still millions of moronic republicans who are not taking it seriously. Unfortunately vaccine hesitancy is being driven by misinformation by the Trump crowd who are so dumb that they think Trump is with them despite the fact that his entire family were vaccinated months ago.The CDC is also reporting 156k Covid deaths between Jan 20 and April 28

We now have 32% of Americans fully vaccinated with both doses. If Trump had won that figure would be less than half and deaths would still be accelerating.

Putting a side the lazy generalisations in the above post, the Biden administration has benefited hugely from the availability of vaccines which neither the Trump administration nor any other government had access to administer in substantial quantities prior to Jan 20; some success was inevitable. We now have 32% of Americans fully vaccinated with both doses. You have avoided the issue that 156,000+ have died of Covid under Biden
It’s horrific, and the Biden administration shares the responsibility for the death of so many US citizens

Pointing out you quoted satire as if it were authoritative information is not a "distraction". It speaks to your utter ineptitude at coherently addressing the topic at hand and provides compelling ammunition for simply dismissing anything you say offhand.ACCYSTAN said:

I can't believe I'm having to explain this to an alleged adult, but the Covid pandemic did not disappear overnight between the 19th and 20th and re-emerge when Biden took office. The Biden administration has had to work with the set of circumstances they've been given, which on the 20th was around 3,800 Covid deaths a day (in fact, the highest it's ever been). Extrapolate that across the 100 days he's been in office and you have two and a half times the mortality we've actually experienced. Instead we now have daily mortality figures around 700.It's also worth noting that it's typically eight weeks from infection to death, so a significant majority of those who have died during the Biden administration were actually infected during the Trump one and are therefore his personal responsibility

What generalisation? It's a plain fact that Republicans, especially men, are refusing to be vaccinated, seeing it as a civil rights issue. Herd immunity is at risk because of this, even though the orange oaf was happy to have a jabhttps://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/u...
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2021/04/republican...
In a Quinnipiac University poll, 45% of Republicans said they “don’t plan” on getting the shot. Overall, states that voted for Trump in 2020 are lagging behind those that went for Biden when it comes to vaccinations

Highest number of deaths per day in the US was between the 14th and 30th Jan.It’s horrific, and the Biden administration shares the responsibility for the death of so many US citizens
There was a slow decline until the 15th Feb
Deaths then dropped off sharply.
Covid deaths occur 7-14 days after symptoms. Symptoms occur 2-14 days after infection.
Most deaths therefore happen between 9 and 28 days after infection.
Therefor most of the people who died before deaths dropped drastically caught Covid around or before the inauguration. Biden could not instantly make Covid go away or deal with the steaming turd Trump left in every department he meddled with. The Biden administration very quickly got a handle on what was threatening to get worse. You just have to look at how quickly Biden and his team went from almost no infrastructure and states being left to fight among themselves to having an actual plan and how vaccination accelerated once people were appointed based on ability rather than nepotism.
That is the legacy of Trump and no one else.
