Body not found yet, but Police have announced that it is a recovery operation, parents have been told that the child is dead.


Bridges arrested for murder. Press conferance at 5.30 where I guess they will announce charges.

They do not need to release/charge him at 5pm today or go to Court, they have to do that by 5pm tomorrow - they bought themselves another 24 hours (36 if they'd have re-arrested him at 5pm today) before they have to do that now by re-arresting him on a different 'charge' this morning.


They are still searching this small bit of the Dyfi downstream from the bridge I think she'd be further down and actually in the sea, that river is tidal and has fast currents on a hot mid-summer's day, let alone in the conditions they have now

How can they tell the parents the child is dead if they don't have a body?

A - She has been missing for 5 days, in poor conditions, she is 5, she has CP, they have some sort of evidence she is in the River Dyfi which is flooding, tidal & with nasty currents. Even if she went in there alive, at 25 and a good swimmer, she'd be lucky to still be alive. I know I got into difficulty in it in my teens!

B - Something has been said.

Very very sad indeed.

If this little girl has been murdered by Mark Bridger or anyone else then I sincerely hope the rest of that person's (and I use the word person reluctantly) life is as miserable and painful as is possible.

Despite not knowing her or the family, as a dad (and I am sure many here relate) any updates to this are giving me chilly-bones.
