Are they going to be building more out in the Shards direction or is it going to be a lone ranger and the rest are more, bunched? Most, but not all, the other buildings due for commencement in that part of the world are all on t'other side of the Thames IIRC
I can't be 100% about that though.

So is the core now the tallest in the UK.. How much left does the core have to go?
The current height of the concrete core is 213 metres (700 feet) on floor 60 and it will top-out at 240 metres on floor 70. There are then a further 2 'viewing' floors available taking the total number of floors to 72 and the height to 248 metres. The construction then continues upwards to 310 metres made up as follows:
From 248 to 285 metres are the 'Radiator'.
From 285 metres to 310 metres are the Glass Frame 'Spire'.

Looked pretty impressive on Saturday night when driving along the road immediately next to the building site! Think I got a blurry photo, will post it up tonight if it's not total rubbish.
Did you go down the road down the side of it? Inbetween it and guys?Massive isn't it, so impressive when you're there.

Emley Moor is taller, but that opens up the whole structure versus building debate ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
