This looks like it could be quite lively. I'm guessing Yanis Varoufakis will be rabidly anti-EU?

He seems to be in the "it's a st system but it's better than all the alternatives" camp.

I might not agree with everything he says but Yanis is normally clear, focused and to the point.
I enjoy listening to what he has to say.

I find I want to punch the tv very hard when he's on it, the unwarranted levels of smug and superciliousness are beyond belief.

Indeed. He'll most likely be beyond the rest of them.

There is something dark lurking in Chuks closet and I don't mean the suit he wears to funerals.
Something not quite right

I was going to say "a typical leftie then" - but then I realisedthat I need to be fair... it's almost all politicians regardless of stripe

I agree. He usually talks a lot of sense, and then spoils it at the end with some socialist Marxist stuff.

Chuka is a bit thick. He uses big words, and sounds intelligent, until you listen to what he's actually saying.

He's a poseur. Busy scanning for the next bandwagon. One of Life's copyists with no original thought.

Arghh, no! eek

I can stand anyone, anyone but him, they could have had Bill, or George - even Sue!

Anyone but Chuka.

I still hate that name!

An old school friend and his lovely wife live down in Chuka's constituency. They tell me he is often seen around and about.... very high profile and he seems very popular! They are not CHuka's typical constituent.

My guess is there is a reason for that where he lives; although I am generalising a little when I guess that his average constituent isn't the sharpest tool and that, by definition, means that someone like Chuka can win them over quite easily with his 'charm' and ambition.

Personally, I think he is spineless and as someone above said, in no way any sort of 'leader' but more an opportunist!

Really not fond - and I hear he doesn't think much of me either smile

The way that he pulled out of the leadership content seemed strange. I (probably wrongly) assumed that it was to do with a closet. A real shame if that was the reason.
