A NATO member country, that recently prevented Russia from exercising its rights, according to that treaty. A country with US nuclear weapons on its soil.

Not exactly great Russia/Turkey relations right now. I don't trust either of them.https://theaviationist.com/2016/02/10/turkey-has-d...

Did you read the article I posted? Clearly not. But the Kamchatka Peninsula is not in the Baltic, last time I looked. Perhaps you have a different map.
The original article was about the Baltic. You then post an article about the Kola.
I'm interested. Have you actually, you know, flown Military Aircraft?
No?
Have you flown Military Aircraft into close proximity of the Armed Forces of a non aligned Country?
Apparently not.
Yet you KNOW what is acceptable and what is not?
You KNOW the accepted rules in getting close to an aircraft of a non aligned Nation.
You seem to want to blame NATO yet you are either: unaware that the Russians have form in this arena (google the collision with the Norwegian P3 back in 1987, or you are willfully obfuscating.
There are any number of incidents involving Russian aircraft approaching NATO aircraft outwith the rules of International Interception yet no cases of NATO aircraft doing the same.
For anybody who thinks it is acceptible and safe for an Interceptor to Barrel Roll around an intercepted large aircraft, you are either ignorant, or hard of thinking.
It is not acceptable, it is provocative and downright bloody dangerous.

No NATO incidents? At all ? You sure ? Completely sure ? Ever ?
There is a dead Russian Su-24 pilot who would disagree with you, or did you miss the minor NATO intercept incident over Syria. A barrel roll is unacceptable, but an AAM launch is okay because NATO says so. I must really try and match up to your quite remarkable ability to rationalise this.

Ahhh yes, the obligatory sneering reply from the usual suspects. I am Jake's total lack of surprise.
I'm (apparently) 'sneering' at you because you are being a pillock. Because you are pontificating about flying military aircraft when it is quite apparent you have no experience in that arena.QuantumTokoloshi said:

It was over Turkey not over Syria, after repeated incursions into Turkish Soverign airspace and warnings thereof, and on the close border of a War Zone.Let me explain something to you, since you seem to be hard of thinking.
Intercepting someone in International airspace has rules.
Penetrating someone's Sovereign airspace and the rules don't apply. If they want to shoot you down within their airspace, you don't have a leg to stand on.

No, the intercept took place over Syria, The Russian plane was intercepted over Syria, after penetrating Turkish airspace for 17 seconds and was intercepted over Syrian sovereign airspace, after exiting Turkish airspace. shall I repeat that for you? just in case you did not get that.
The hard of thinking seem unable to accept they are simply wrong.
No NATO incidents, well, barring the shooting down of a Russian plane, but that does not count because of ............... etc. etc. etc. etc.
But hey, nothing surprising here..

There you go, being hard of thinking again. The impact of the missile fired into the Su24 Fencer, occurred over Syria.
I'll repeat that, just so, you know, you have a chance to understand.
The impact of the missile fired into the Su24 Fencer, occurred over Syria.
That does not mean that the missile was fired over Syria.
It also does not mean that [quote]The Russian plane was intercepted over Syria
In fact, if you bothered to think about the kinematics of the missile shot it would be quite apparent to you that the missile was not fired over Syria.
Your move.

No NATO incidents, except the shooting down of a Russian plane. We clearly have a different understanding of what constitutes an "Incident" here.
Barrel roll - Incident, major incident.
Shooting down - debatable, they probably deserved it.

Did you not READ what I posted, or are you willfully being an idiot?
INTERNATIONAL AIRSPACE - barrel rolling around someone is bloody stupid.
DOMESTIC AIRSPACE - If the Host Natoin wishes to shoot your incursion down so be it.
If you cannot see the difference then you are:
1. Blind.
2. Bloody Stupid.
3. An apologist.
As I said sunshine, your move.

How in the wide world of sports did we get from russian showboating intercepts in international airspace to the turks responding to russian coat-trailing in their airspace with the nuclear option? Get a room the pair of you.
Hide, It is Yer Man as tried to link in the Fencer shootdown.
If you read my posts I was making it clear that the recent Russian shannanigans is not acceptable.
Ergo tell that fkwit to get a room, but please do not lump me in with him.

Ginetta, I am quite sure the plane was in turkish airspace for a short period of time and missile was probably fired when it was still there but there is no way turks could prove it, that's the problem.INTERNATIONAL AIRSPACE - barrel rolling around someone is bloody stupid.

It was a minor incursion that happens on a daily basis throughout the world.
A talk by Peter Hitchens, primarily about Germany, but gives a great insight into Russian thinking.

And so rather than the plebs just get angry at their leaders for dragging them senselessly into a war, they actually align themselves with their 'rulers' and defend their actions... ultimately perhaps going to war to fight and die over a nothingness that has nothing to do with them.
Humans are so fking stupid.

The Russians are taking not winning the Eurovision Song Contest well.
Mark the date. Saturday May 14, 2016, the day the music died and a song contest whose well-intentioned original aim of national harmony has become the latest front in the Western elite’s obsessional and relentless new Cold War against Russia.
While Ukrainians basked in their Eurovision win on Sunday, Russian officials and Kremlin-friendly media offered up a string of conspiracy theories to explain the win of Crimean Tatar singer Jamala, whose song “1944” was largely seen as a jab at the Kremlin.
