I gave you an example of business moving out of the UK to Slovakia, you know, the place where they won't take a single immigrant....
So the business is moving a plant, that is, and would be even with E250m investment, still, the most expensive plant in the group, is actually the EU moving business away from the UK?Ok.

The EIB- which, according to the their own website is "The EU bank" should not have lent money to a Non-EU country whose growth led to the demise of jobs and industry in an EU member country (us and Turkey).
It is right they should have invested in the Southampton plant. That is what they should be for. We are an EU country afterall.
I voted for brexit. I dtill think its the right decision. I dont want masses of unelected people in European offices on huge salaries not working for my benefit. I dont want an EU army. I dont want Turkey to join the EU. I want our country to control its own borders.
David Cameron tried to negitiate a better deal for us earlier this year. He failed. I voted on that basis.
Oh, you seem to be quiet on the Uk vehicle exports?? We're set for a record breaking year: 13% higher then this time last year, which was a record breaking year for exports. Doesnt the weak pound mean we are cheaper to produce, and exports are good, yes??

None of your fears are real. Stop taking the purple pill every morning.SilverSixer said:

I expect if I had time I should evidence all my fears. And is controlling our own border a fear??

That's not the EU moving UK jobs abroad, you plank. It's just normal market forces. You might as well have given an example of someone moving jobs to China.
There was a significant contribution from the EU regional fund involved. You plank.Jockman said:

.....some people have suspicions that some Brexiteers didn't understand the issues?
Of the 33m that voted, how many would you say >really< understood the issues involved?I've no idea. When the outcome of a large vote is damn nearly 50:50, it hints that the individual votes might be being cast at random; no one cares about the outcome, or no one understands the issue.

Your fear is that we don't control our own border when in fact we do. Turkey have been trying to get in for what, 40 years? More? Mind you it became more likely once UK announced it was leaving and taking its veto with it. So, once we've done the trade deal involving free movement, Turkey joins and *poof*, we've lost control where previously we had it.
Slow hand clap.
Sorry Silver - not going to happen. Movement might be allowed but right to work and live will not. Slow hand clap.

Give a single example of the EU moving business away from the UK.
Peugeot closed down a plant in Coventry resulting in the loss of 2300 jobs, moved to Trnava, Slovakia, that one ok for you? That Southampton eagerly voted to leave the EU came as absolutely no surprise to me at all.

Or that there are a number of advantages and disadvantages on both sides and it's not a clear cut choice.davepoth said:

You say that like it's a good thing. Movement 'might' be allowed'? Is this how low we're stooping - to achieve, what exactly? A st-eating grin on Farage's gob? Do you really not want the right to move, live and work where you want in most of Europe? Maybe you don't see yourself as needing those rights, but to seek to deny them to others is just dreadful.:-(
Your post here really should be an absolute alarm call to anyone who thinks we're heading in the right direction. Such regressive nonsense was unthinkable only a few months ago. How desperately sad.

Even more recent; Ford Transit factory in Southampton. I would hope we all know this absolutely appalling story, when it was closed down and moved to Turkey, and all paid for by an £80 million european "loan" to Ford? Naturally, Labour were in it up to their armpits too.
That Southampton eagerly voted to leave the EU came as absolutely no surprise to me at all.

Already covered. Read up. Were you up in arms when that same Southampton factory received almost 3 times as much in 2010?That Southampton eagerly voted to leave the EU came as absolutely no surprise to me at all.

By the way, how's your prediction of EURO demise in 2014 panning out? Try to read more about things, rather than snippets from UKIP press releases.
