Are the left wing less tolerant of the views of others?

The amount of (lefty) people who think entering into dialogue with Trump is aiding/legitimising fascism and the right thing to do is ignore Trump is scary.
Social media seems to be breeding a particular type of extreme left which is more fascist than any other political group out there but they just can't see it because (as someone above mentioned) they think they have the moral high ground.
I find them much more scary than Trump etc.

That is in response to Berkeley not doing enough to quell the leftist riot that took place because Milo Yiannopoulas was set to speak. The openly gay Brit, and Trump supporter uses both comedy and satire to make his point against the dangers of groupthink and political correctness. The leftists students (and others) literally attacked him, destroyed property, and Milo had to leave in a car through a tunnel with a bullet proof vest on. This, at the self proclaimed birthplace of free speech, Berkeley California. They only allow speech that fits their narrative. Sad. Take a look at @realDonaldTrump's Tweet: https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/8271126...
CNN tweeted that "Milo Yiannopoulas rallies white supremists at Berkeley". Really!? The leftists have managed to have even CNN label anyone who voted for Trump or has an alternate view to them as a racist, misogynist, white supremist, or a bigot. That would include about 60,000,000 people here. Utter crap! As Milo stated though, this is changing. These idiots are saying Trump is dangerous, but what Americans see from them show them as the danger. The irony is strong here.
The irony is that milo seems to think nothing of marshalling his minions to direct racist/misogynistic abuse, or 'dox' or hack or use any number of online intimidation methods to stop people who he disagrees with from speaking out.

Slight difference in calling someone a nasty name on Twitter or smashing them over the head with a wooden stick don't you think.? If not be my guest and call me a nasty name I will prepare my big wooden stick to retaliate. Edited by cookie118 on Friday 3rd February 07:39

Not on this board. Anyone only slightly right of centre gets labelled a lefty..The answer to this thread, and Isaacs un-self-aware post is that the extremists from either end of the scale are intolerant of the view of others. 90% of the population falls in between and can have normal everyday conversations about differences of opinions. Then you have the communists who are intolerant of everyone who isn't one and you have the inhabitants of Pistonheads np@e who are equally intolerant of anyone who isn't a rabid nationalist making up the remaining 10% between them
Election resurrection!
Watching the coverage of the Tories manifesto launch, and there's a demo outside (as seen on TV) shouting at anyone who'll listen that not only are 'they' unwelcome in t'north, but they shouldn't be allowed there...
Did any other party manifesto launch 'attract' such a demo?

In fairness it is only to be expected that Labour supporters air thier pov in a traditional Labour voting region. It's like the Tories rubbing the supporters noses into it.Watching the coverage of the Tories manifesto launch, and there's a demo outside (as seen on TV) shouting at anyone who'll listen that not only are 'they' unwelcome in t'north, but they shouldn't be allowed there...

Have you considered the perspective? Think about the actual impact these policies have on people.Watching the coverage of the Tories manifesto launch, and there's a demo outside (as seen on TV) shouting at anyone who'll listen that not only are 'they' unwelcome in t'north, but they shouldn't be allowed there...

If a set of policies looks likely to destroy the industry that your community depends on, or remove your fundamental working rights, or push you into poverty with no obvious means of escape, or take away a disability lifeline that you or your family member are wholly dependent on, you may justified being upset.
Then consider how badly affected your typical Tory supporter will be by any Labour policy? Nobody's going to go raging through the streets of London risking arrest because they might be forced to postpone their Chamonix skiiing holiday for a few weeks.

Corporate-backed "counterculture" being used by the neoliberal/con establishment to shut down any remaining avenues that the people might have to influence the government they get.
As entertaining as these zombies are, these are sad times.

Adding to that, these prats all had either labour, Unite or Socialist Worker banners, funny that, how these locals all came out, and just happened to have these posters to hand.....
