Yet another one having to resort to personal insults. Pathetic.
Not having to resort to anything. Just calling it as I see it. Actually I thought dick was being charitable.djdest said:
Do you class every one as a dick if they don’t share your point of view on something ?

I think that depends of what view of mine they don't share.
They might have a different view on Brexit, or the death penalty, which is fair enough. If they don't share my view that evolution is real or the holocaust happened, then they're a dick.
Refusing to donate your organs, when you were happy to donate them before, because you think the govt are being rude to you in changing from opt in to opt out......definite dick territory.
You obviously mean me- it wasn't a case of rudeness so much as the presumption that I exist to be used as they see fit. They might have a different view on Brexit, or the death penalty, which is fair enough. As you've chosen to be insulting, may I say in turn that I hope your testicles shrivel up & fall off?

Add me into dick territory. It changes the entire relationship of the state to the individual - assuming it has permission over your organs without explicit prior consent ffs Since GDPR they need explicit consent just to use cookies on my browser session and yet my organs are a free for all?Jinx said:

What happens to your estate after you die? That depends entirely on whether you make a will or not. Otherwise the state will decide where your estate should go. If you don't like it you are free do change that. This is little different to be honest.
Your argument does sound a little "it's my ball and I'm going home so you can't play with it" to me.
You are, of course, entitled to your point of view. I just hope that you refuse a transplant for yourself or your loved ones should you/they ever need one. Because you wouldn't want to be a hypocritical dick now, would you?

Not quite true if I am married. This is little different to be honest.

My estate is what I have gathered during my life. My organs are a fundamental part of my person. The former is external to me the latter internal.
Therefore not only is it my ball, it has always been my ball and no amount of legalese will change the morality that it should be my ball. As such it should be deemed my ball even if I do not have the conscious capacity of defending my ball from being taken from me.
I would reject a transplant that had been obtained without consent - my loved ones can make their own decisions.

By you're own definition, all organs for transplant will be taken without consent after this law is passed. Was that, and the rest of your sentence, just a little caveat to ensure you don't feel like a hypocrite, even though we can all see that you are?

It's got fvck all to do with morals. Your dead body is a bag of spare parts of no value to you. Feel free to opt out and feel great about yourself, perfectly safe in the knowledge that the medical profession won't kick your sorry arse out the transplant queue because you're a dick. How big of you.

And when you are dead your "person" no longer exists. You talk about "my" and your "conscious capacity". When you are dead neither of those exist anymore. Just as you can not be defamed when you are dead you have no person or capacity. My estate is what I have gathered during my life. My organs are a fundamental part of my person. Personally, if someone opts out of donating yet still expects to receive something then "dick" is not an unfair description of them.
Ahhh. So now it starts.Kccv23highliftcam said:

Ahhh. So now it starts. If you opt-out of donating something yet expect a donation when you are in need would it be unfair for someone to refer to you as a "dick"?

Would I travel to Wales for a transplant now? You assume much. Was that, and the rest of your sentence, just a little caveat to ensure you don't feel like a hypocrite, even though we can all see that you are?
