Shocking, but even more shocking accordingly that always, without fail, the method is outed by the media (Amy Whinehouse booze and OD, Micheal Hutchince wore his belt, Kurt Cobain shot etc etc....)
There's no evidence she actually wanted to kill herself; the inquest concluded that having lost her previous tolerance for alcohol she simply drank too much and didn't wake up.princeperch said:
I've said this before (in a different thread a few weeks ago). I had to undergo a process at work 2 odd years ago where they scrutinized all of my social media posts, all my forum posts, forum usernames handed over - the lot.
How on earth would they know where you've posted on forums if you use a handle rather than your real name?hidetheelephants said:

I wonder what the reactions would be if it had been her partner assaulting her and then she said she didn't want the CPS to prosecute . . . . .
The people saying because the victim doesn't want to have the prosecution to go ahead then perhaps it shouldn't do. So basically they are saying if they you can "persuade" the victim to say they don't want you prosecuted you won't be, that sounds like it would work really well in a controlling, bullying domestic violence situation.

That's... unusual.
Security clearance, high level probably, DV. They know most of the answers before they ask the questions. The questionnaire has been freely available for a few years now. It's been that in depth for many years prior though - a former colleague ended up working at Faslane about 15 years ago, and I recall him mentioning internet account details back then.
Just reading a bit more on this it is a shame that no one in the media seems to be focussed on how she ended up in this situation in the 1st place. It's clear she had mental health problems but potentially the start and the specific incident which led to this very sad situation was made a lot worse and could have been avoided if they weren't drunk.
We all know a bad drunk, it looks as though she needed help but never got it. Social media and negative comments didn't kill her but booze may have played a big part. Alcohol is the socially acceptable drug and people tend to ignore the negatives, but when drinking gets out of control bad things will inevitably follow and it can and will wreck lives.

Agreed. Sorry Twig - forums, whilst social, are not social media. PH is real people behind fake names - social media is fake people behind real names.
This is a good observation.Johnnytheboy said:
Woman's Hour on Radio 4 this AM was discussing whether she should have been charged with assault at all, being a woman and everything.
Thanks for flagging that; I've just had a listen. May I suggest you listen to it again. All of it, not just the first two minutes.
In light of events this article seems somewhat ironic

Then if I’m outraged by what you have said I will report it to the complaints department and the relevant watchdog.

Perhaps the autopsy report will shed some light on what was in her system at the time.We all know a bad drunk, it looks as though she needed help but never got it. In both cases where emergency intervention was called by her then boyfriends, she was intoxicated at the time.
As you say alcohol can bring out the demons in many people. Add antidepressants and perhaps other medications like diazepam and you have a very troubled mix.
She was on antidepressants previously and I would be surprised if she was not still on them. Due to her issues, I would be very surprised if a further medication was not added.
Time will tell.
What she was alleged to have done is very serious. Before she was not allowed to have contact with him is quite telling. If what is being said about the case is factual then I doubt anyone would disagree with her being charged and being made accountable for her actions.
Killing herself was just the final desperate act of someone with really deep issues.

And just to double check, you can't be bothered to listen to it yourself?
