Pictures from Paris this weekend showing APCs without French flags, but with EU flags.

The symbolism is terrible.

Watch the videos and view the images readily available on google, or, carry on being a parasitic little troll on any brexit topic............

Funny how the closer it gets, the more desperate, angry and delusional the regular crop of remain trolls on here get, you only have to look at the destruction of Ghibli and his nonsense remain paranoia fed border tech claims along with his subsequent denial of said destruction to raise a smile.
Keep it up Mx5, it’s as pathetic as it is funny. The images and comments are there for any simpleton to see, EU flag and not the French flag on the French police vehicles.
Good luck controlling your anger...................#angremain...........

Nope. I think you're the one who's suddenly afraid.

It was a close run thing though, 6 months down the line who knows what censorship of the internet would have been applied?

it IS curious that 100,000s of people who are violently protesting austerity in the heart of a European capital city and not a SINGLE MSM outlet was live-streaming it.

yet RT and (RIA Novosti) had cameras strategically placed around French capital and are THE! only outlets shown on Twitter/tv to be livestreaming the 'gilets jaunes' protests....

Are you seriously suggesting that the EU want an army so they can put down internal resistance to the EU project?

Because that’s real tinfoil hat territory.

Thank you wc98, made me lol. Very succinct description of Juncker.

I think his continued tenure as president of the commission is partly responsible for the “leave” vote, given the completely anti EU corporate tax shenanigans that were revealed 2 months after his appointment. If his post had been filled by a charismatic straight arrow rather than a clown, the referendum might never have happened or the result may have been different.

Lol - that's exactly why they want it.

As I've said before - Had Greece given the EU a big FU and refused to pay stuff back, leave the Euro and reinstate their own currency, had the EU a means of securing major institutions and infrastructure while detaining those they felt were being a bit naughty, they would in a heartbeat - Italy too.

All in the name of harmony and stability...

How has our education system failed us to the extent that so many otherwise intelligent people are happy to swallow so much fake news?

It's either for internal dissent or as an extremely expensive and unnecessary vanity project, as we already have NATO (which thankfully has kept the peace since WW2).

Either way, the project paints the EU in a terrible light.

Denial.

https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/blog/beyond-bla...

Yes, denial (of reality) exists. But why? And how can human beings gifted with the ability to analyze complex information ignore facts directly in front of their eyes? And refusing to see it even when ignoring the information might be disastrous?

Add in other psychological dynamics such as ideology (which substitutes belief for facts), inertia (change requires significant energy), momentum (the desire to will obstacles out of our way), impulsiveness (wanting it now!) and stubbornness (no one will change my mind), and we can easily relegate facts to a far corner behind several pieces of heavy mental furniture.

Denying those facts allows you to keep moving rather than stopping and facing the painful restrictions and demands of reality.

There is an immutable fact about denial: it does not work—long term. Reality always wins. And when it does, the next step in the process is blame, which shifts responsibility onto someone or something else.

So where there's denial, blame is always available to ease the pain when reality bites.

So yes, the state of being “in denial” does exist.

We wont know who is right for a good few years yet. (assuming the EU hasn't imploded)

We do have history to look upon, the eastern european states in particular are well aware of what can happen when a body politic takes over their competence and has military and militarised police at their disposal.

Its interesting that its the eastern member states that are starting to kick back now.
