He's got himself suspended from twitter for a hilarious joke, he turned 4 pride flags into a swastika and set it as his profile picture. What a wk laugh

I won't post the image as I don't know if it's against the rules but you can see it here if you want.

He will literally do anything to keep people talking about him. I mean it works, very briefly, and then everyone goes back to forgetting about him for long periods of time.

That aside, he obviously never wants to work as an actor again.

Well it isn't that funny and anyway isn't suitable behaviour for anyone wishing to lead a political party. As I have said before I had initial sympathy for him as he was "cancelled" for nothing much, but since then it has been every more erratic and bizarre behaviour.

He's got a higher calling now - the slow slide into shrieking insanity.

Yeah, he clearly hoped to get on the free speech/libertarian grifter gravy train but hasn't been able to build any momentum. So he's now stuck with these ever more ridiculous stunts.

I was going to ask why would you even do that but sadly I suspect some sort of mental health crisis.

I mentioned that one month ago, a number of posters dismissed my ‘David Icke’ comparison. More,
as you yourself suggest, suggest that mental well-being is perhaps somewhat lost in Mr Fox. This being the case then the pile-ons go against the moral code of decency perhaps.

For what it's worth, I don't think he's suffering any kind of mental issues.

I think he's:

a) Not very intelligent.
b) Doing a 'Katie Hopkins' - trying to make some kind of career out of being unpleasant and outspoken, whilst pretending it's in the name of free speech or anti-woke.
c) Not a particularly nice person.

It's a fine line though.

It's possible he's simply not a very nice piece of work and has hidden it quite well to date I mean he is an actor.

Honestly it all just seems a bit odd.

Graham Linehan would make a great study into how being addicted to twitter can literally ruing your life, mind you i have no sympathy for him or fox, they both seem to value spouting hateful stuff online is more important than anything else, in Linehan’s case he’s lost everything, his friends, family and his career, fox seems to be following the same path.
Had to look him up

Creator or co-creator of Father Ted and the IT crowd. So looks like it could also be an example of how intolerance to freedom of speech means a society loses its most creative people......

He seems to come under the same category of JK Rowling of someone who is very successful at what they do and then gets targeted by the Trans activists when he doesn't fall into line with ideological orthodoxy. The difference being he didn't have a hundred million in the bank so it messed up his life when he was "cancelled".
Yes, I think you have summed that up quite well. Graham stood up to those who must not be questioned.

I think he's always been a bit nasty, iirc his marriage ended in part due to his views before he really started publicly stating them.

IMO, he's the product of a very privileged upbringing and views consequences as for other people. I'm always wary of claiming anyone that says stupid st is having mental health problems as it excuses otherwise unacceptable behaviour .

Rubbish, he threw a tantrum because someone criticised a bad joke in his sitcom and went down a rabbit hole. Has spent the proceeding years supporting all kinds of bigots while his actual life went down the drain. He built a cross and crucified himself.

He’s not summed it up quite well at all. The only person that’s ruined Graham Lineman’s career and marriage is Graham Linehan.

Well I could imagine Sunday Lunch could have got a bit interesting between him and his brother-in-law.

I actually agree with you and believe me I really don't want anyone to think I'm making excuses for him.

It's more that I honestly struggle to explain how someone can seem to wake up on day and have turned into what he's turned into.

Perhaps I'm guilty of thinking he was the character I know him best for.

The difference between Linehan and Rowling is that Linehan named and encouraged harassment of specific people (and who were not high-profile), which is quite different from making broad statements and generic campaigning. Fox seems to be in the JKR camp at present, although I think he has been drawn into the 'extremism' in the way Linehan has. I suspect at some point his supporters will get bored and then discover few people want to hire him any more, and follow Linehan in blaming everybody else for it.

Rowling quite regularly picks a tweet or action from a random small account/ unknown and broadcasts it to her 14 million followers and instigates a mass harrasment campaign on twitter and often the mainstream press

She just hasn't made a swastika flag yet. Linehan did his own version invoking nazism a year or so ago.

Pretty much this.

He became totally obsessed with trans people, and devoted years of his life to protesting, telling them they were 'wrong', and harassing some of them individually. He was then apparently surprised when his wife and kids left him because of his behaviour.

This doesn’t scream mental health crisis to me, it says he’s a bit of a knob and a racist homophobe who has got caught up in a bunch of similar “anti woke” crazies that tells him this is a good thing.
