By the 2022 election, there will be quite a shift in the demographics of the electorate.

if CNN are correct, millennials will outnumber baby boomers. The data shows that millennials are, to a greater degree, more ethnically diverse, less religious and tend to err towards the Democrats. The core, elderly Trump / GOP base will be dying off over the next 10 years so the longer term future is in favour of the democrats and moderates.

Probably argue the same over here.

I don't think it'll take until 2022. 2020 is going to be a shock for Trump fans.

If the Democrats have any brains they're going to pick the most middle america candidate they can. Someone inoffensive but slightly charismatic like Beto O'Rouke or Delaney. Someone like that will not fall victim to Trump's style of shock defamation tactics like Hillary Clinton did.

As for the GOP itself, the sad part is as the old people die off, younger people are growing old and bitter enough to replace them.

Every time I see a Trump tweet screenshot, I have to head to twitter to check that it is genuine.

Is he any more worried now than at any point in the last 6 months? Its not a case of "if" he is guilty, it is more a case of will his guilt be sufficient to boot him out of the job, or massively reduce his chances of a second term? I'm doubtful that he will be impeached, as much as I would love to see him squirm under impeachment hearings, I just feel as though they'll try to come up with a better way out for Trump.
The Dems have enough here to continue with a steady drip of bad news and ongoing investigations all the way to the next election...
The worrying thing is that his base really do not seem to care in the slightest. He can't do wrong in their eyes.
That's certainly a problem and i'm sure it will lead to more, and more organised, violence in the short/medium term.

Fair enough... I thought you were talking about the next mid terms.

There are no more millennials eligible to vote in the 2020 election than there were in 2016. So is the argument that enough elderly voters have died to make a difference? Or that young voters are generally more engaged now?

I thought a millennial was someone who came of age around the turn of the century?

So born in the 1980s.

That was sort of my understanding also, I thought it was anyone born up to the mid 90s at the latest.

This would seem to agree:

http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/01/17/wh...

The Silent Generation: Born 1928-1945 (73-90 years old)
Baby Boomers: Born 1946-1964 (54-72 years old)
Generation X: Born 1965-1980 (38-53 years old)
Millennials: Born 1981-1996 (22-37 years old)
Post-Millennials (generation z): Born 1997-Present (0-21 years old)

But like any topic on the internet, I can find 50 sites that will argue a different date range, so that's good.

Between '81 and '96 apparently. After that it's Gen Z.

The top White House lawyer said the Trump administration will refuse to provide Congress with information about senior adviser Jared Kushner’s security clearance, slamming House Democrats for “overly intrusive document requests"

Can't be allowed to dig too deep into Kushner, looks like trump will try to protect Ivankas husband.

Edit: Cnn are reporting that trump also interfered to give Ivanka security clearance

Sure enough, after Cohens testimony, reporters have gone looking for trumps academic records, to discover that trump got there before them
Former officials of the military academy where Trump went to high school say that wealthy alumni directed them to retrieve, remove and hide Trump's academic records.

The request came in 2011, days after Trump challenged Obama to "show his records."

just hours after trumps failed meeting with Kim,
North Korea started rebuilding a banned long range missile site 48 hours after the Hanoi summit collapsed

even with pressuring Japan to give him a false nomination, hyping up his chances, two fake nominations, looks like trump won't get his Nobel Peace prize...

Is that not tantamount to an admission of wrongdoing?

If he passed the checks with flying colours, show the world and shut the Democrats up.

multiple changes to his security form, because he 'forgot' to add important details, like meetings with russians, collusion, meetings with Saudi's, his business dealing, over 100 additions in the end were needed.

Thats a straight refusal in my world, you might get away with oh I forgot about that ONE!
