45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. (Vol 6)
Discussion
The New York Times was provided with six checks that Trump or Trump's trust issued to Michael Cohen to reimburse him for hush money payments. Often, it seems, Trump would have pressing government matters on which to focus while these checks were being cut to Cohen.

Prosecutors for Mueller's office say that none of the reasons and cases Paul Manafort's attorneys have used to argue for a lighter sentencing actually apply to Manafort himself in the case due for sentencing on Thursday in Virginia.

“On the same day he reportedly pressured the F.B.I. director to drop an investigation into a former aide, the president’s trust issued a check to Mr. Cohen in furtherance of what federal prosecutors have called a criminal scheme”https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/05/us/politics/tru...

Edit: The checks were initially issued from the Trump Organisation, which was consistent with the phony cover story that they were mere employee paychecks to Cohen, retaining fees. These were the checks were signed by Trump Jr and Weisselberg. T
hen partway through, Cohen started receiving checks signed by Donald Trump, from what appear to be his personal bank account.
Why did the cheques from trump org stop? Did Weisselberg stop them because he knew they were illegal payments, he found out what they were for?

Which of the crew are you on the Trumptanic?Tom Barrack, Trump inaugural chairman, has decided to cooperate with the House Judiciary Committee and fork over the requested documents
Tom Barrack, a personal friend of Donald Trump who chaired the president's inaugural committee, said he would cooperate with the House Judiciary Committee's requests to hand over documents as part of a sweeping probe into Trump's dealings.
A spokesman for Barrack told CNBC in an email that the investor "will fully cooperate with the Committee's important work as he has with all government inquiries."
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/03/05/trump-friend-tom-b...
Barrack is a billionaire real estate person, sold trump part of Alexander’s Department Store and the Plaza Hotel, both of which Trump lost. He’s also involved in Jared Kushner 666 Fifth Avenue, which needed bailing out by Qatar, after it's alleged Kushner got the Saudis to apply pressure.

Barrack has been friends with Manafort since the 1970s, and he reportedly recommended Manafort for the job of campaign manager.

I'm sure he doesn't want his business dealings being looked at too closely, so I'm sure he'll co-operate as much as possible.
Interestingly some are already saying they'll refuse to comply with document requestsMichael Caputo said that he is going to refuse to cooperate with the document request he received and that he’s also aware of four other unnamed Trump associates who are going to refuse to cooperate,
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/former-tru...
Now seeing as he's testified before the House Intelligence Committee in 2017 when Nunes was in charge, and he called a lot of people to testify how innocent trump was, it's a safe bet that he won't comply with the request because he committed perjury?
The thing is, as we've seen from other evidence produced such as with Roger Stone, you only need one side of the conversation to produce the messages, the emails and with several others cooperating, they could find themselves screwed anyway.

Trump has already shown that he's unlikely to pardon anyone at this stage - maybe he'll wrap a few up in the Presidential pardon get-out-of-jail-free card thing that happens as Presidents leave office.

“Additionally, the defendant’s brief is replete with claims that are at odds with acceptance of responsibility,” Mueller said in a new filing Tuesday evening. “The defendant blames everyone from the Special Counsel’s Office to his Ukrainian clients for his own criminal choices.”
“In addition to a lack of remorse, Manafort has his facts wrong: he was being investigated by prosecutors in this district and the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice prior to the May 2017 appointment of the Special Counsel,” Mueller said in his response.
Manafort was convicted in Virginia over the summer on eight counts of financial crimes, including bank fraud, tax fraud, and failure to disclose a foreign bank account.

This is exactly what’s happened in relation to the Russia Collusion. Even if Mueller were to provide camera evidence (and apologies for the imagery) of Trump felching Putin in the Oval Orifice his core support will not yield, and another 15% of people will hold their nose because they vote Republican no matter what, and the Republicans in Congress/Senate will oppose anything that harmsTrump because they want to protect their own seats.
His poll ratings are as high as Obama’s and Clinton’s at the same point in time. That just emphasises how stupid/ignorant/amoral a significant part of the US electorate is.

I've been saying that for over two years If you think Nixon was impeached for a burglary and cover up, they tried impeaching Clinton over a blow job and cover up, trumps criminal activity and cover up surpasses all that, most bigly ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Sure enough, after Cohens testimony, reporters have gone looking for trumps academic records, to discover that trump got there before them
