So we should treat everyone fairly and with respect.
Except Trump?
Trump has shown himself repeatedly, over decades, to be thoroughly dishonest untrustworthy. The most realistic position to take is to assume he is lying or profiteering and be pleasantly surprised if that is not the case.Except Trump?
'Reep what you sow' is the phrase, I think.

And Kim K hasn't? There's not a single person on this thread that's actually looking at the whole situation objectively, and without personal bias. It makes for a crap debate tbh.paulguitar said:

As a candidate, trump promised his policies would generate sustained 4% annual economic growth.
After he became president the White House promised 3%
Yesterday his administration reported 1st quarter 2018 growth of 2.2%
Issue is this wont get picked up, because the focus is on the bks he tweets out everyday. Seems to be spending his time trying to force Sessions to resign, promote Fox News contributors books, and undermine the investigation by quoting people claiming the FBI to be spying. As a candidate, trump promised his policies would generate sustained 4% annual economic growth.

So much for being hard at work. The guy is a moron.

A lot of it is hyperbole and exaggeration and is of no real consequence. It's his personality, it's not like he's changed, he campaigned using the same rhetoric and the citizens of the USA voted for him. That's democracy for you.
For the avoidance of doubt I would prefer that all politicians told the truth. With Trump my default position is to fact check anything he says.
You evaded the point I was making. To clarify: I was asking why you seize on minor factual points within comments here, while never doing the same with Trump. To be even more specific: it's only comments from posters who point out negatives with Trump et al; you never jump on factual issues posted by others who are also here defending Trump. For the avoidance of doubt I would prefer that all politicians told the truth. With Trump my default position is to fact check anything he says.
From your contributions to this thread, it looks like you turn a blind eye to Trump's misbehaviour, while suddenly discovering you do - after all - have principles when debating the finer points with others here. It's a bit lop-sided, no?
To me, that only makes sense, if your #1 aim is to troll, and Trump is just a useful means to that end.

Obama turned down the woman KK is pleading for 3 times, so of course Trump will pardon her.
Wonder if he tried to grab Kim by the pussy?
Trump has pardoned someone, but not a woman. I don't know anything about Dinesh D’Souza...Wonder if he tried to grab Kim by the pussy?

Will be giving a Full Pardon to Dinesh D’Souza today. He was treated very unfairly by our government!
ETA - it starts to become clearer now..
"In 2012, D'Souza released his film 2016: Obama's America, an anti-Obama polemic based on his 2010 book The Roots of Obama's Rage
On May 20, 2014, D'Souza pleaded guilty in federal court to one charge of using a "straw donor" to make an illegal campaign contribution to a 2012 United States Senate campaign"
So someone that makes illegal campaign donations and hates Obama, now why would Trump want to pardon him???

But he’s a man that get things done, he’s had four highly successful careers and is shaking things up. He’s clearly far from stupid and possesses a lot of energy for a man in his seventies. Most posters chose to ignore or deny these simple facts.
I think it is pretty well established that trump was far from universally successful in business. Of course, it is hard to tell since he repeatedly lied about releasing his tax returns, and also has lied countless times over decades about his wealth. He inherited a large fortune and it’s been said had he simply left that alone, invested sensibly, he would have more money now. So, not really too impressive.I am also curious, Croyft, as you say often that facts are important to you, how you were so relaxed when we recently discussed the colossal birtherism lie? Surely, as some for whom facts are so important, you would be hopping mad about that?

Surely we don’t need to revisit that again?
As to the press conference you refer to when donald graciously ‘announced’ that Barack Obama was indeed born in the USA, I thought that was perhaps one of the lowest points in the public life of a man who has had some of the lowest points of anyone on the planet. It was truly disgusting.
