Or you scan some Value Cheddar and cheapo wine multiple times instead of the expensive items, you then get a receipt for the correct number and type of items but pay loads less.When you get to the checkout it scans for a fraction of price and the weight is correct so no alerts go off. You also don't have to do anything that might attract attention regards re-scanning things whilst being observed.
It would only be picked up if they saw you abusing the veg weigh scales elsewhere in the store, or noticed that the description of what you were bagging didn't match the screen.

I have been told that people take the value stickers/low price stickers and put them on other items then try and scan them through!?!? I mean, seriously?!?! Do people not notice some person removing/swapping labels?
