Anti-fa is a catch all term used by the far right to demonise anyone they don't like. Usually an indication that the user doesn't inhabit reality.
And "far right" is what, exactly?
If you need that explained to you, you shouldn't join any political discussions.
Who pissed in your Rice Krispies this morning?

The DM is garbage.

It's about getting people to the Mail Online where it makes a fortune in ad revenue. As a business model it's impressive. As a newspaper not so much.

For example today: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7259081/P...

it's nothing to do with "appealing to teenagers", but adding that false link to the title makes it stronger click bait / more shareable by triggering 'outrage'.

They should be closed down on that alone. Scandalous.

That article shows the humour of the Mail rofl

mail said:
Northamptonshire Police had hoped the caps would help to recruit new officers. The force, which claimed traditional helmets were 'a barrier to the non-binary transgender community joining the service', ended up scrapping them after just 18 months following a series of complaints.

It's probably a bit too subtle for your liking, but it's representative of a relatively small thing done lots of times which adds to up to define the way it behaves.

Sometimes they're on point.

I seem to remember when Ryan Giggs had the 'super injunction' they wrote an article praising what a good family man he was or something similar biggrin

And very occasionally they do something of value. The Stephen Lawrence front page was very bold of them, albeit that's quite some time ago.

As others have pointed out, all newspapers are there to make money by selling stories.
Also as others have pointed out, the Mail and the Guardian are just the right and left cheeks of the same a*se.
Anyone who believes the either is better than the other, either does not read them, or carries a severe bias. towards one or the other.

Don't read the articles, just jump straight to the comments, sort by most popular and ponder on what that means for the country biggrin

Clickbait has reached such levels that I no longer follow any news or paper "channel" on Facebook. Left me raging most days before I got shot of it. News these days seems to be rumor and "might happens" rather than anything factual, sad state of affairs.

TBF it does need explaining since there are a good portion of the electorate who think that the sainted Mrs T was 'far right

I have no idea who Garry Bushnell is, however I'm fully aware of Garry Bushell.
He likes Noel in a dress but that might be lost on you.
Feel free to explain my Oi reference.

I find that people on PH who tend to say they're "Centre, Centre right at a push" are probably closer to far right than they wish to admit.

The DMs target audience is lower middle class English women. So it contains all the stuff that reflects their fears: dusky foreigners coming to rape them, style/fashion that permits the inimitably English habit of copying the nobility in chintzy form, and safe travel destinations where you can indulge hidden alcoholism. It does that very well, and the Mail online is an international success story. UK papers are written by blind fools inculcated in the caste system, so to single out the Mail is a bit harsh.

The same could be applied (in the opposite direction) to PHers who say things like "anywhere else I'd be considered a centrist": they tend to be pretty damn left wing. hehe
