Pisses me off...

I used to live right next to a huge Lebanese diaspora, as well as a lot of Jordanians (which is often how Palestinian ex-pats refer to themselves) and people from the Persian Gulf countries. There was both an orthodox synagogue and a reform synagogue within maybe 100m of my front door so plenty of Jews living around the area as well as coming in for temple. Never, ever saw or heard of any trouble between the two groups.

Why? Because they weren't a bunch of knobs. Or rather, the minority of them weren't having their views reinforced by online echo chambers... At least not to the degree they are now.

Can't we just get all the aholes, regardless of whether they were born here, somewhere else, wherever their skin colour sits on the Dulux chart, and stick them somewhere really far away without an internet connection? Farage and Corbyn could fight in a Thunderdome to see who gets to lead them.

Corbyn is the the most anti-British and anti-Semitic MP ever. Complete buffoon.
Come now, we've got some contenders in that category. Oswald Mosley. Not to mention the Labour MPs under his watch, Chris Williamson, Dianne Abbott... There's a whole line up to "trot" out.
Why do the lefties have it in for the Jews? Can anyone explain this as it most certainly is a common theme amongst liberal / lefty folk.

It is really difficult to distinguish between criticism of Jews - anti semitic and criticism of the action of the Israeli state which always seems to be equated as anti semitic, but should be seen through the lens of legitimate criticism of some pretty abhorrent acts. The two are very different.

In part it goes back to the old trope of Jews having lots of money and power, therefore they aren't really repressed. Islamophobia is seen as a much more serious offence, hence the silence about how places like Iran treat their own minority groups. Or even that they count as white, therefore racism against them doesn't matter as much.

What a loaded question. Most 'lefties' don't have it in for the Jews any more than most 'righties' have it in for Jews.

Any anti-Semitism in the Labour party has been smeared out of all proportion by the st-stirring right wing press.

Well Owen Jones and Novara media don't help matters as that is all they ever go on about. You seem to deny the existence and seriousness of the problem in the Labour Party.

That's a very, very rose tinted view!!
There's plenty of videos showing the marches last weekend in various cities. Various Union groups were there in force. I dare say 99% didn't actually know why they were there mind. Charlie Veitch has a couple from Manchester should you wish to see for yourself.

You think Jones & Novara are the Labour party? Might as well describe Tice & Reform as the Tories, it's a ridiculous lower sixth form level of thinking. Notwithstanding exploiting a bloody war to score petty political points against your own hobby horses is grotesque on its own terms.

It's not helped by dishonesty of our very own PM.

Today, a labour MP asked about Israel 'laying siege [by] cutting food, water, power and medical supplies' to the Palestinians.
Just to be clear, is that the same Palestians that want to eradicate them & who elected to power a terrorist organisation that wants to destroy Israel? But you nevertheless feel that Israel should feed them & provide them with stuff?

Sunak replied: 'The entity responsibility for the suffering we are seeing is Hamas and Hamas only.'

It's not only wrong, it is dishonest. It is the why Israel has threatened to do so, and has nothing to do with responsibility. It is a conscious decision to do so by Israel. It would also be a war crime, according to the UN's definition.

Sunak's far from stupid. He's picked the answer that gives him less aggro. The fact that it is a lie doesn't appear to worry him. Do the demonstrators feel the point of view of the Palestinians is being ignored for expediency by the UK's PM?
If the Palestinians in Hamas hadn't attacked Israel do you think the Israelis would have imposed sanctions? . They poked a tiger so shouldn't be entirely surprised when the tiger bites back.

Israel should not stop their water, nor cut off fuel supplies that generate power for the distribution of water. It’s a war crime, but you seem to suggest it is fine to punish all Palestinians, including babies and children, for the actions of a group within Palestine.

The history of the conflict, for which we have a degree of responsibility, goes back decades. The way to bring about a negotiated settlement, which is the only hope, is not to wantonly kill innocents as this will merely generate more hatred, be a recruiting drive. Innocents have always suffered in wars, but that does not make it permissible to continue doing so.

Blame does not lie only on one side.

Lol. ‘actions of a group within Palestine’.

Rightyoh.

The group that actually was elected by that populace, and still runs Gaza? That group?
