Bradford in particular was an eye opener. After all I heard I wasn't expecting such an overwhelmingly Anglo area.

This is pretty meaningless, no? And the way it is presented emphasises the immigrant* mothers' contribution, rather than pointing out that a proportionately small increase in UK-born mothers'** births has contributed to a third of the increase in birthrates.

*Immigrant mothers includes the large influx of Eastern Europeans.

**UK-born mothers includes second generation immigrants...
