Yeah, right. This guy has 18 months of hell coming up. Ex cops are not popular in prison. And the screws have no reason to be nice. So why is he suddenly going to get any sort of special treatment? If anything, it'll be worse.

Is it that obvious?

It's not like she's twirling a Ford RS keyring, after all.

As an aside, and without wanting to take this off topic, this is very good news for the country. One of the very few good things about this country is its (relative) lack of corruption.Removing scum like this hopefully will mean any corruption will stay in the background.

Can he be deported back to Tehran?. His jobs prosepects wouldn't be hindered out there; he'll probably move sideways into a high ranking position before you can say, 'justice for all Iranians'.

She does come across a bit 'slow'.

Good thing it wasnt a genuine incident where a senior officer really was in trouble.

You would like to think so, but being so high profile this chap will be in solitary with sky/the 'web etc to keep him happy/sane.

Anyone know if he will still get his police pension?
"The Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA) will eventually be responsible for deciding what happens to him."

"The MPA has the power to sack Dizaei, as well as forcing him to give up all or part of pension"
Although he is still sitting on a bucket load of cash from an Emplyment Trinunals amd legal compensation claims after the last failed trial.

Or that somewhere in the Urals, a small town is missing its Carnival Queen, 1986.
She looks like one of those working class Russians that goes to Istanbul to buy loads of cheap st.

What is most interesting about this case is not how a senior policeman was found guilty of abuse of authority but how a corrupt police officer who happened to be asian was able to gain promotion and avoid sanction for any misdemeanor (until finally caught) by playing the race card.

This whole affair was in the shadow of the macphearson report, which crippled the MET.
