why aren't we all harking on about stuff like this?

at least the bullfighter uses swords.

Id like to see this tosser use a spear with on the lion.-

I don't think Bullfighting is good or right, I just think too many people have a big hang up over it and there are plenty of other things worse or easily as bad.

I actually think a bullfight shows an animal far more respect than other ways of slaughtering and far more respect than the fox receives.
And at the end of the day, it's all about respect rolleyes
In this instance, the bull is showing the crowd what it thinks of their "respect".
yes exactly- and the fact that the bull can fight back and kill people in the crowd or the bullfighter is good. at least it CAN happen.

I find it the whole idea of it far less cowardly than some fat st sitting in a tree pointing a gun at a deer.
I don't think the facility was designed so the bull could jump out and attack the crowd. I think someone messed up there.

Yeah, "LOL".

FFS, putting aside what you way feel about bullfighting for a minute, are you really saying you laughed out loud at this story?
I did, just as I'd laugh if I heard of a story about some chavs getting mauled at a dog fight.

In this style of "bullfighting" the bull is not physically injured.

Do you really think that some men being chased around by a bull is the same as two dogs ripping each other to shreds?

They should get taller walls or bulls with shorter legs; who's the safety officer there?

Seems a little odd to me that so many people find it acceptable for other people to be seriously injured because a single belief of theirs does not agree with yours.

In fact, it seems all very sad and symptomatic of what a fked country we live in full of malicious, small minded little scrotes. Not that I wish any you any harm. biggrin

Taunting and "fighting" a bull (that is often drugged and injured before the "sport" begins) for entertainment is pretty disgusting behaviour in my mind, and ranks right up there with fox hunting, cock fighting, badger baiting and dog fights. Just because, in this instance, the bull wasn't going to be killed originally (but still was) doesn't make it any better.

Those that take part are scum and it's just a shame many, many more are not injured in their pursuits.

Yes, I did laugh out loud at this. I only stopped laughing when I realised the bull was needlessly killed anyway.

And no, I'm not a left-wing greeny (far from it in fact). I just don't derive any pleasure from the suffering of animals, and cannot understand anyone that does. If people need to abuse animals in order to feel macho then I feel sorry for them.

Incredible. To wish pain and injury on people who don't conform to your beliefs.

Animal hurt, cry. Human hurt, laugh. Rule Britannia.

Go to watch a bull get slaughtered then complain when it hurts you? Pull the other one.
.....you obviously did not listen to the commentary......this was not a bullfight per se.....it was one where the participants tried to get as close to the bull as possible without getting gored.....pay attention.....

Drugged or not I can't see any honour or respect in systematically injuring and incapacitating an animal before ritualistically killing the thing. It's all just gloryfied showmanship on a level with the likes of World Wrestling Entertainment.

For the umpteenth time, this story is about recortes. Google it. It seems to be nothing more than another flavour of rodeo bull-riding. Which, whilst PETA objects to it on the basis that animals are involved in entertainment, seems fairly harmless.
