I thought it was a PH SAS'er being kidnapped by the local Corsa-driving chavs for taking the piss out of their plastic-covered monstrosities!

I just hope they open the road where the house is ..... got footy practice tonight, directly across the road from it (big game tomorrow).
Everything looked open and back to normal yesterday, just some grit on the path where the van was. Which road is closed? I'm heading down to Kings Corner in an hour or so.

Not the A30 smile

The road off Charters, where the house is that they are now going over (next to Cliff Richards place). They said they'd closed the road today.

The 4 guys they caught were all English, from Cambridge!

According to the reports they were involved in smuggling.

Was thinking about this earlier in the car on the way home.

Something doesn't quite add up.

The first news reports say this van was stopped because Customs had been investigating these people for months and believed there was a kidnap plot being planned. The police said the reason they stopped the van was because they received this tip off from Customs.

So they receive a tip off, about a kidnap plot, and decide to stop the van with armed police. But then don't check out the man sized bag in the back of the van, which from pictures seems to be the only thing in the back of the van.

...on the other hand, he had a tremendous singing voice.

Any news on the Peter Gabriel fans in the van with him?

Love the way they describe him as a 'businessman'. Businessman in much the same sense as the Krays were businessmen.

Sentenced yesterday, all got life with Dad getting 28 years, dad's mate getting 25 and the 2 lads 25 and 20 years.

I actually knew the family pretty well when I was a kid, I remember the youngest as a baby and last saw him when he was 7. Seems extremely weird seeing them now, especially as I was just reading the story on the train last night.
