It's said that many many of the enormous post WW2 advances in medical science are attributable to Dr Mengele's experimentation on live human subjects in concentration camps. None of you appear to have considered this as a potentially useful function for this fellow and all the others like him. Of course it might be tricky to find a Mengele to carry out the nightmare, but I'm sure one would turn up. And I think it was terrifying beyond belief for the 'patients' until they died as they almost all did.

Personally I'm not in favour of hurting these people. That's because I think they're bonkers. There are quite a lot of them, and I know they go through a 'normal' judicial process and into a 'normal' prison system because trained professionals assess them as 'sane and fit to plead'. But they CAN'T be sane. It's easy to tell they're bonkers. You can tell by the things they do. Rippers and serial killers and baby batterers etc etc. Bonkers the lot of them. So I'd keep this one and all the rest in high security criminal asylums and NEVER EVER let them out, simply because I'd be worried that they'd do it, or something similar, again if they were freed.

To those who think it's better he's locked up for 24 years (min), rather than swinging from a rope.

You'll be paying out of your taxes for him for those 24 years. Still so keen?

Vermin. Best way is to be rid of 'em. Then, 100 per cent certainty, there will be no repetition.

I did the maths once. It works out at something like 9p of my tax per year.
I'm ok with spending that.
I agree with long term incarceration but remember - your taxes will make sure all his comforts and whims are catered for - comfy mattress,5 star meal at Xmas time, Gymn facilities, and no expense spared Legal Aid to lessen his term by Cherie Blair on some pointless meaningless obscure technicality.

I am not afraid to admit that I choked up when I read about this. When I got home, I gave my 13 mth old an extra big cuddle.

I think I, like many on here, share exactly the same thoughts of what should be done to this affront to humanity.

In my opinion it is a small amount to pay to keep him away from any other kids. Also shows we are better than him.

If only this was a good few years ago you could have fed him to the great whale of Dudley.
