This is the kind of thing that caught the UK ruling classes out during the referendum IMO - people assuming they know what "most people" are thinking. The US is a massive place. How on earth anyone can assume to know how most people feel about life is perplexing. And polls are increasingly unreliable.
I watched 30mins of the debate earlier on and can only feel sorry for anyone valuing democracy in the US. The pair of them were truly awful and whoever wins will be the best of a very bad bunch. Which doesn't augur well for the self proclaimed greatest nation on earth. Neither of them seems to be doing much at all to address the concerns that voters might have with them - Trump still comes over as a gung-ho buffoon, Hilary simply does not understand that being "establishment" could well count against her and ducking questions as she does about her idiotic use of email won't endear anyone to her.
I suspect whoever wins will end up making the other ~50% of people there feel pretty disenfranchised. Which seems to be becoming the norm' with Western politics...
They actually made me think the shower of ste we have in charge are actually streets ahead. Which probably means I'm ill so I'm off to lie down

Weird this attitude, isn't it? Yes, we all know the letter of the law on this one, but the spirit is that people do actually vote for parties based on their leaders rather than their local candidate. To deny this seems specious. As with much of our rambling, incoherent, unwritten constitution, interpretation is important. The Yanks have theirs written down and that's fine. Ours is open to interpretation and I find it quite incomprehensible that there are some people who don't want to grasp this and deny that there is legitimacy in saying that a change of PM after a General Election is in some ways undemocratic and should perhaps be put the people.
there's nothing weird or specious about understanding the political system. The weirdness is thinking that the situation with brown is different to the one with may. It's that leftie sore loser special pleading on show again. It's also quite valid to say that the political system isn't fit for purpose and should be modernised.
Nothing about this would indicate anything leftie or sore losery or pleady.

Wow, so you can talk incomprehensible ste whilst being high on coke and still look presidential? Only in America.
Did he actually answer any of the questions? He seemed to wander round whatever happened to be in his head at the time before forgetting what had been asked in the first place.Still, 40% of Americans would seem to disagree so I'm obviously missing something about him

Full marks to Clinton for not losing her cool as Mr Sniffy interrupted and hectored throughout.
This was not a good night for Trump as all the credible polls and focus groups have confirmed. His bleak and dystopian view of America does not actually resonate with most people's lives and he came across as someone utterly unprepared for office.
Some of the more moronic posters on here made reference to Clinton's health in the run up to the debate - whether she would last 90 minutes etc.. In fact it was Trump with his constant sniffing, red eyes (the right one appeared to be closed for much of the time) and inability to articulate who looked ill and unfit. She remained bright focused and alert throughout, he appeared to struggle with words and attention. Which is not surprising given what we know about his totally unsuitable temperament.
Considering they are not meant to be rude and interrupt, I was surprised at how many times he did, and that the moderator didn't shut him down. This was not a good night for Trump as all the credible polls and focus groups have confirmed. FFS. Infowars is the website of total lunatic Alex Jones.
Does no-one take the time to find out what they're linking to nowadays?
The last true media outlet that is not controlled by the globalists. What is published by the mainstream media today, was published on infowars a year ago. However let's all be lemmings and believe the mainstream lies. Does no-one take the time to find out what they're linking to nowadays?
Have you any wool?

Personally, I'm not happy with either situation so would rather not stand accused of being a pleading leftie sore loser is all. I neither voted for Blair's Labour nor Cameron's Conservatives. I believe we need substantial constitutional change in the UK and think that I and others are perfectly entitled to express dissent at the system.

Of course The Drudge Report users are voting that Trump won the debate. The Drudge Report is a right-wing website. I expect that Breitbart say that Trump won the debate too.
This page lists lots of polls. Even time magazine has trump winning I've seen http://www.infowars.com/poll-who-won-the-first-pre...
Does no-one take the time to find out what they're linking to nowadays?
I found that link on a thread on another forum where people were debating who won. If you pay any attention to these polls and I'm not saying you should, it's a handy thing to put them together who cares who hosts the info unless of course you want to use it as a handy way to ignor info you don't lik

Also, 5ohmustang seems to worship that site somewhat.. That should be a clear enough indicator it's not normal.

So? The page lists screenshots of all the polls unless you are saying the site faked that content what difference does it make.

At what point did it become legal to meet private individuals in a official government capacity without anyone knowing about it. She makes Nixson look like a nice guy.
