[quote=AreOut]it's irrelevant, she didn't answer why in her 26 years of doing politics she did nothing that she proposes now
also only idiot would believe her that she would fight ISIS when she did nothing to stop it when it started growing, and she was SoS[/quote
Thought he said all her life??

Can't stand either of them. What a disaster.
Just watched some of it... round one, Clinton edged it or won if you like.
However, before Clintonians get too overly confident, remember the Romney v Obama 'round one' the dreadful showing by Obama where Romney won easily.
Wasn't unrepentant all for Romney then?
Remind me, what was the final outcome for potus in 2012?
It's never over until the fat lady sings, although there's no fat lady this time. Just a couple of unfits to be.

I could sue for libel for such a scurrilous slur. Just watched some of it... round one, Clinton edged it or won if you like.

I was an Obama supporter in 08 and 12 both financially in my own modest way and on here. I'm sure Jimbeaux would attest as I argued with him all year in 2012
(I actually attended an Obama rally a week before the election in 08 and was seated behind the great man on the stage. MrsU was seen by millions on tv, I was hidden by the future President )
Can we cool it with all the nastiness please?
I watched it. No big wins by either. I have been watching the Sky Atlantic programme, basically they say that the head-to-heads can't win it, but they can lose it for the candidate. The two talking heads know what they are on about, they've been behind the scenes on both sides for decades. They went into the pre-debate prep work that Bush had against Gore, it was all really rather good.

I have come to the conclusion that it's best if I unsubscribe to this thread and never click on it again, such is the sycophantic dirge coming from the likes on Unrep.
It's just plain weird!
I find it funny, I'd love Trump to win for the laugh of it all and just a complete change from the usual political bullst. It's just plain weird!
If he doesn't win,oh well,Im sure within 7 minutes I'll get over it unlike unrepentant and others over on the brexit thread who seem to have this inability to shrug their shoulders and get on with life.

...His bleak and dystopian view of America does not actually resonate with most people's lives and he came across as someone utterly unprepared for office.....
This is the kind of thing that caught the UK ruling classes out during the referendum IMO - people assuming they know what "most people" are thinking. The US is a massive place. How on earth anyone can assume to know how most people feel about life is perplexing. And polls are increasingly unreliable
If you were selling secondhand Chevy Cobalts to the employees of Carrier corp your perspective might be different.
US consumer confidence is at the highest level since August 2007, a year before the great crash and 17 months before Bush left office.
So we have gone from then, the worst economy since the great depression, which is what Obama inherited in January 09 to now. From an economy loosing 600,000 jobs a month with the Dow standing at 7,949 and the housing market in freefall to today where we've had 78 continuous months of private sector job growth, the Dow stands at 18,228, house prices are rising and consumer confidence is at a 9 year high. We also have a president at the end of his term with approval ratings of 54% as opposed to the last republican president (ever?) who was at 29%. We also have 20 million people with health insurance who had none on Jan 20th 2009.
Yes, things are good for most people. Not for all by any means, there are still people who are suffering and they need help. Help they sure as hell won't get from Donald Trump.

So people can say what they like, make up whatever they like, read and believe and even quote fake websites, listen to and believe the lies of Trump and co and swallow the bilious rhetoric of the right. I'll stick to facts and the facts are pretty clear.
