Yeah Trump is a huge pussy in real life thats why he wouldn't tell the leaders last week that he was quitting Paris until he got home to his safe zone hehe

If Kahn pulled him up on his comments he would probably cry or run away.

CNN that spouts constant fake anti-Trump propaganda has been caught faking up London terror reports.

They rounded up a sparse assortment of Muslims with posters denouncing the attack, arranged them behind the cordon, packed them together behind the reporter, and framed it up to look like there were hoards condemning the attack.

Manipulating a scene like that is about as bad as you can get in terms of journalism malpractice.

Not that we needed more proof that they don't report the news anymore, just their personal politics dressed up as news.
Oh mate, this is just pitiful.

He wouldn't run away. There's not a single thing he's backed down from. He just sinks to a lower level. As a wise man once said "Never fight with a pig. You both end up covered in st but only the pig enjoys it"

Who would have thought that a POTUS candidate would make insinuations about the size of his penis, and STILL be considered a credible candidate....?

He wouldn't stand up and say it live in person in London or when meeting Kahn. He would nod and then go and tweet about it with his minions around him. It's his classic style.

Kahn should conduct business at >his< level. Trump needs to be managed.

Maybe they're just following Trump's example. He paid actors to attend his announcement as a presidential candidate and pretend to be genuine members of the public.

So, Mr. Nasty, what did you think of Trumps' Sadiq Khan tweet?

One can make the argument that last night would have been very difficult to pull off if everyone in London had been carrying a gun, and had proper and regular training on how to use it.

But it's a stupid argument: the solution is completely unworkable (training and reliable use in pressure situations can't be guaranteed), and besides that the solution to the one problem in turn creates thousands more different, and vastly more serious problems. The pro gun lobby in the US seem largely indifferent to those more serious problems though, which is bizarre.
Agree. If the UK "firearm deaths per capita" rose to USA rates, it would be a forty fold increase from current levels. The "American cure" would seem to be a significantly less desirable outcome than the problem.

Not convinced. The Swiss have huge gun ownership but low gun crime. Similarly the UK way back before guns got banned (1920's?). At the time in the UK we had not much lower gun ownership that the US did, but gun crime in the USA was much much higher. Its always been the same in the US, the wild west left a cultural impression on the USA.

I really dont get that argument. heard it after the US cinema shooting.

Sure, what you really want is a cinema full of 200 people all shooting each other in the dark... :/

If London was the same then the terrorists would be armed too and would have killed more than 5 people. and when the police do turn up they find a street battle between unknown groups with no idea who are the good guys and who are the terrorists.

Given the choice I'd rather have the option of running from a nutter with a knife than being in a shoot out.

Isn't Swiss gun ownership rates a result of their interest in hunting, shooting as a sport, and the existence of an armed militia? The law prevents them from carrying concealed weapons and the purchase of automatic weapons is illegal. The comparison of ownership rates indeed seems to be less of a guide than the culture. I remember an uncle who served in France after D Day telling me they were more scared of the Americans than the Germans. The latter would often slope off if given half a chance. The Americans would shoot at anything that moved.

yes The gun control supporters endlessly dig out the worst sounding American statistics, without context, and ignore other all the countries with loads of guns and far less killing.

The Swiss have national service and keep their weapons at home thereafter. Sturmgewehr 90:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIG_SG_550

By the logical extrapolation applied every time this gets discussed, all the Swiss have already murdered each other.

The Swiss gun laws differ significantly from the USA. Yes the militia aspect of their army requires that service rifles are stored at home. Swiss citizens do have a "right to bear arms" but this doesn't extend to concealed or automatic weapons and a citizen must obtain a permit to buy a weapon and can be disqualified from doing so if they have a criminal or psychiatric record. It's a whole lot tighter and more legislated than the USA and comparisons are pretty pointless.
