Six weeks to prepare for Labour government armageddon.
As I can't run off to sunnier climes, what to do?
Buy loo rolls.
Buy loo rolls.
Access all tax free cash from pension scheme.
Convert all cash savings to bitcoin.
Limit salary/pension to basic rate tax threshold.
Don't privately educate children.
Buy bottled water.
Anything else?![tongue out](/inc/images/tongue.gif)

To be entirely fair to Deej he does have a point that it's clearly only the posters who have had enough of this lot who are the problem.
The Starmer and Rayner and (mostly deleted due to the filth in them) Abbott threads clearly set the gold standard in respectful and dignified posts, attitude & tone.
Yet you continue to defend someone like Abbott, despite her BS. Great hill to die on that one. The Starmer and Rayner and (mostly deleted due to the filth in them) Abbott threads clearly set the gold standard in respectful and dignified posts, attitude & tone.

Where have I defended Abbott other than highlighting the stream of racist and misogynist filth that gets thrown at her?Threads on her don't get closed down and deleted because people are calling her political ability into question.

Kwarteng says as much on his TRiP Leading interview
Kwarteng sounded far too reasonable in that interview, but also not as capable as he pretended to be when promoting Brexit or being Truss' chancellor. The question is why did he go along with Mad Liz Truss? Bonefish Blues said:

The question is why did he go along with Mad Liz Truss? I think the timing of the GE to be a little bizarre, tbh, UK has had a tough few years, but is genuinely turning the corner now, fuel prices down, growth up, inflation down, food prices actually dropping here and there, its making a big difference to millions of people, and will continue to do so. Holding off 6 months toward Xmas, there may be an interest rate drop by then too, where the effect has been felt by more people would surely help the incumbent Govt convince more people that their policies have started to work, and garner them millions more votes.
Just makes little sense to me, timing wise.

The tax free cash part I have done . I concluded it about a month ago in anticipation of the next government. It can take a few weeks so get on with it if you are going to do so . The recent inflation figures do not help investment rates when you go to invest it , but unless they make changes retrospectively , I think getting it out may be a smart move .
From the advice I have received , retrospective amendment is very unlikely. I have been told my also requested TFC will arrive in the next 30 days.
I had previous fixed protection so will be passing the proceeds to my children now to assist their house purchases.
