She's a nutter. She's spouting the usual nonsense some anti-EV posters come up with - cobalt mining, etc.

This phenomenon is like another facet of the contemporary Karenism.

I think she raises some good points, burt even if she is a nutter, she is highlighting another council rubber stamping yet more restrictions against cars.

Also the cobalt and other EV related hazards / pollution aren't nonsense - they shake the faith of those who ignore evidence in favour of ideology, and faith responds that way when challenged by data as we know already. The fun of living in TAOS on energy and transport continues.

They keep saying in interviews that they've never held up emergency vehicles. Clearly no longer the case. (if it ever was)

The hypocrisy is rank.

They avail themselves of the fruits of modern capitalism and even fossil fuels, when they choose, but want to stop others doing so, and with impunity. iPhones, cars, planes, synthetic fabrics, are all fine for them to use, but they want to stop other’s at whim.

IMHO theft is abhorrent and there is nothing more irreplaceable than lost time.
Oh course, it is the privileged few who want the plebs to stop their consumption. Same as the government with their net zero policies, yet they are all having heated swimming pools built and travel everywhere by private jet.

Same as these celebrities lecturing us who fly in on private jet then go on holiday on their Yachts.

They want to take everything away from us so we are more pliable and sub servant to them

What’s wrong with video conferencing. Not quite the same as a massive jolly paid for by tax payers.

Except that by stopping oil, before a viable alternative, which can provide the power, food and products (including all renewable energy systems) currently only made possible by using fossil fuels, before a viable alternative has been discovered will cause the deaths of billions across the planet, mainly from starvation, but also from freezing to death in winter.
To date NO such viable alternative has even been discovered, let alone put into production, sufficient to meet the needs of the global population.

Could you clarify whether you think we have a viable alternative to fossil fuels please?

If we don't, should we find an alternative before stopping fossil fuel production?

It would help if you could be a bit more literal and simplistic whilst providing less evidence. Thanks.

They are blaming the police for shutting the road.... Hopefully the police will in future just let the vehicles continue on there way.
