.....It's a big move and shows that the committee intends to establish the Trump DOJ election meddling and the January 6th insurrection as part of the same ongoing criminal effort on Donald Trump’s part to overthrow the 2020 election results.
They better get a shift on! Even senior Dems think they could get hammered in the mid terms and with no majority they will get fk all done...once again!

I think this report is based on the dubious views of Sean Spicer.

If we judge the man on the basis of his chaotic, aggressive & dishonest time as Press Secretary to T.F.G. I think we can safely conclude that Trump won't be running in '24.

Here's hoping....

Of course he'll say that, it's a great source of money, saying he's building a campaign fund, he might run, all the time whilst fleecing the sheep. So far he's spent on his legal fees and he'll need more...

Mind you, he's taking money out the GOP pocket

Speaking of trump fundraising, anyone would think he's desperate with the amount of messages he's sending to his supporters. The grift continues...

Why was Tucker Carlson in Hungary, talking to Victor Orban and puttin g it out on hios show......

Mr. Carlson himself has a family connection with the Hungarian leader — his father, Richard Carlson, is listed as a director of a Washington-based firm that has lobbied for Mr. Orban in the United States."

Conflict of interest anyone... or just hypocrisy after he tried saying Hunter used Bidens influence (whilst ignoring all the trumps).

one of trumps final election fraud lawsuits has finally failed in the appeals coult, the one Lin Wood filed in Georgia challenging the results. The Appeals court agreed that Wood had no standing, had shown nothing more than a textbook generalised grievance that was insufficient for Article III standing. In other words, was a worthless attempt.

I agree - under trump the us was shown to be a corrupt, weak state, only in it for the money and trump for his ego.

Look how eagerly GOP went to russia in 2015, how they readily took the russian money filtered through the NRA, how many met Butina, how they accepted trumps russian meetings, met with russians at trumps campaign rallies, covered up and obstructed investigations.

I could keep going, but trump was compromised by so many foreign powers and leaders, usually because he was trying to do a business deal, without a clue about foreign policy, he made the US a laughing stock, especially with the stupid handshake power move that both Macron and Trudeau bested him at.

Who can forget:

LOL.

President Biden has joined the Disney Hall of Presidents, the audio-animatronic exhibit in the Magic Kingdom. Biden is obviously front and center as he voices the presidential oath of office, but the trump robot has been pushed to the very last row beside Andrew Jackson.

Court roundup

Capitol insurrectionist Kevin Fairlamb is pleading to obstruction and assault. Guideline range is 41 to 51 months and he's also being told he'll pay $2K towards his share of the damage in the Capitol. Same as in some of the other defendants, the govt prosecutors are writing in the ability to call this terrorism at sentencing, so leading to plea deals.
https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/case-multi-defenda...

Yesterday was 7 months since trumps insurrection attempt
So far the prosecution have
charged 565 people so far, with a list oif outstanding to come
1 case dropped by the govt (Chris Kelly) + 1 case where the defendant died (Joseph Barnes)
There have been 33 guilty pleas but so far only 6 people sentenced

One of those supposed to be in court yesterday didn't show up. Joshua Haynes, nice bloke who strangled his partner recently and assalted family members
https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/21037694/8-...

In this filing it clearly states Robert Reader got video of people trying to break through the doors to the Senate, and assault of the officers

Some more on the Scott Fairlamb'spleading guilty to assault, being the first defendant to do so. He'll face about four years federal prison time

Ashli Babbitt’s family filing a $10 million wrongful death suit against US Capitol Police. Their attorney says she was ambushed by the officer who shot her, and was given no warning or verbal command.
They want want his name, thats the reason, not to win the case or the money. The mission here is to expose the officer and destroy his life.

Remember the investigation cleared the officer, that Ashli Babbitt had broken into the Capitol and was trying to do the same breaking onto the floor of the house. There's also video showing she was told to stand down, to back away from the door...

Interesting article
https://www.thedailybeast.com/these-shameless-repu...

In summary, trump has unleashed a generation of activists who are striving to out trump one another in order to get power and as a consequence they are likely to "outshine" and make Trump himself irrelevant by being more trump than trump.
He himself has destroyed himself by unleashing and enabling suppressed fascists and demagogues and in doing so has detroyed th GOP

The last paragraph is poignant. Even though trump lost, the GOP have thrown their lot in with him, placing themselves at direct odds with the majority of the citizens of its own country.

It missed out whilst trying to change all the rules so that the minority that they are, stay in power...

Trump has had to return $12.8 of his donors money due to aggressive fundraising and fleecing contributors when they didn't realise they were signed up to repetitive contributions

I don't think $12.8 will have much impact, even on a pretend billionaire. biggrin

Clearly, you've never tried to make sense out of anything Trump says. He has the vocabulary of a 3rd grader and absolutely no knowledge of any policies. He is very good at sniveling and making everything about himself, however.

At this point I'm pretty sure he's never heard Trump (or Biden) actually speak.

Waffling is not what I'd describe Biden as doing. Staccato is more like it but that is because Biden is taking deliberate pauses to let his message sink in. Waffling is more Boris' style (which I have to admit, as no fan of Boris, he does well as he comes across as a good orator).

It's not just how they speak, it's how they are reported:Trump was taken literally but never seriously, Biden is taken seriously but never literally.

Biden says "not a joke" a lot when he's trying to make a point- like he thinks nobody is taking him seriously. When you hear it, you can't un-hear it. It's very odd..
