Agreed, mentalness. How anyone could consider someone for a position in the highest court in the land whilst having numerous allegations over his head is beyond belief. Is it a case of the republicans being desperate to keep their equally rapey leader happy?
a position in the highest court in the land FOR LIFE

Term limits for presidents. None for powerful roles in the supreme court...

Who are arguably way more powerful and influential.

People are now theorising that Ginsberg may retire (or die...) whilst trump is appointed as she is 85. If she does it’ll be a super majority conservative court for the next few decades. This whole thing has just been a dream come true for the GOp

They have judicial immunity but not personal immunity as I understand it.

In theory they can be impeached, but ain’t never gonna happen these days. I think it’s happened once before. They are the untouchables.

if the gop don't get bh slapped, and with having a person of the ilk of kavanugh being voted in might make the female vote for dems surge.

Seemingly not:

Looks like they will go through with the FBI investigation. Although... how independent it will be... who knows.

Nobody, least of all a Supreme court judge, should be given a job for life.
