Did London vote Remain or Leave? Not that it matters now.
Did it ever matter?

Words fail me .... he’s a fking Mayor, not very good one at that

Perhaps his time should be spent trying to sort out his city’s problems yet here he is grandstanding with the EU begging for Londoners to be given “Associate membership” of the EU

Some people just don’t get it they really don’t
Why do you care if some brits are allowed to keep EU citizenship?

PS most know the answer!

Point being it's asking the impossible and is therefore a massive waste of time. You knew the answer though, right?

hmm !! you do realise the EU isn't anything more than a political entity , you can only be a citizen of an EU member state
no such thing as an EU citizen ..

I wouldn't mind EU citizenship and passport, if still living in the UK.
Seeing how friendly the Portuguese are being, they should just sell passports to brits for a few hundred.

Been off line - jumped 5 pages - did I miss anything??

Apart from Budgie claiming he is always right and Durp End saying all leavers are racists?
It used to be far more entertaining.

Ha ha! Ok to ask for cake and eat it for the rest of the negotiation but this area really triggers some. We know why.

I read the Frost speech - just as here he scornfully questions the treasury trade impact figures but declines to come up with his own to back up his “belief” that he knows better. Another “what I reckon” brexiter it seems.

Very different.

This is just time wasting, grandstanding 'opposition for the sake of opposition' nonsense.

Just like the campaign for more democracy (a.k.a. Referdumdumb Mk2) it obfuscates reality and hinders logical debate and preparation. It is noise.

What harm can it do if the EU want to offer it and it can be made to work?

People could even pay for it.

Why would it bother you?

That's not what he says, is it?

His price for selling things that no nation has willing given to another is merely higher than yours.

What "cake" are we asking for?

It’s exactly what he says. If it wasn’t serious it would be funny.

Easyist deal ever was one slice I remember the likes of gove promising us. Along with frictionless trade.
The sunlight uplands might take a bit longer to appear on the horizon though

Your memory is absolutely shocking laugh

It's not as though the Fox quote hasn't been dissected, stuck back together, and re-dissected on here umpteen times biglaugh

It was cake I was promised even if it is a ste cake I want it.

Part of brexit is the ability to hold our politicians to account.

By apologists pretending what he was actually saying was that it would be hard and be st.

This is such a grim branch to hang on to.

If you think about it, y'know, the free trade agreement we'll have to come to with the EU should be one of the easiest in human history - we're already beginning with zero tarriffs, and we're already beginning at the point of maximum regulatory equivalence - as it's called - in other words, our rules and laws are exactly the same. And the only reason that we wouldn't come to a free and open agreement is because politics gets in the way of economics
Which part do you disagree with? biglaugh

You're fighting a battle fully lost.

We've recognised the EU position, smh so aren't asking for any of that. Merely a FTA.

It would be the easiest if it wasn't for the UK wanting to diverge from the maximum regulatory equivalence.

Perhaps Fox didn't understand the purpose of brexit?
