Also that there's big corporate money behind him, and has been for some time.
Just how was his gambling/season ticket debt paid off?
He is/was a mean drunk who may have attacked several women in the past, he's got a temperament issue and has likely lied under oath several times. But ignore all THAT, follow the money and something is still fishier than a bucket of week-old haddock in the hot sun. To pay down that level of debt (which had been running consistently for a number of years according to his released accounts) means there was an influx of money from somewhere OR at best, he had a savings account which he decided to wipe out.

If it were all legit and I was looking at the most prestige and powerful job-for-life in American law, I'd be publishing bank statements in the papers to show how and where that money came from. Friends are lining up to defend his reputation against sexual assault but I've not seen or heard one of them say, yeah I owed him $20k for baseball tickets so I paid it back (which is what he claimed happened)...I find that odd.
Why should he, trump hasnt released squat.
And by doing(or rather, not doing) so Trump looks dodgy AF. So now does Kavanaugh

David John Oates, the Australian specialist in reverse speech ...
Inspired by this, I've just watched the entire hearing upside down and from studying his inverse body language, I'm pretty sure he's talking bks too.

The text messages are solid proof he lied under oath though.

A lot of the other accusations are conjecture or difficult to substantiate. This alone "should" be enough to exclude him.

True. But then i think we all knew Trump wasn't going to release anything and not having to do so (not been "forced" by any legislative body or the press) has just emboldened the Liar in Chief

I think the big difference is the system as in place should manage a dodgy president. Too dodgy (though the bar seems set low!) and they can be removed. Putting a dodgy guy in the Supreme Court which then removes some of the checks and balances regarding a president and it starts to look far more worrying. IMHO the Supreme Court character needs to be beyond reproach.

The bit about him getting upset about the calendars was good, I had assumed he was getting emotional when I initially watched it because he was talking about his dad (who I assumed had passed...) but John Oliver points out he was sat behind him during the speech! laugh

The insider trading regulations? - No.
- That's one relief.
Of course they've broken those, but they've broken the basic rule of the City.

- Just the one.
If you're incompetent, you have to be honest.
If you're crooked, you have to be clever.
If you're honest and make a pig's breakfast of things, chaps help you out.
- If you're crooked? - With good profits, chaps don't ask questions.
They're not stupid.
Well, not that stupid.
The ideal is a firm which is honest and clever? Yes.
Let me know if you ever come across one, won't you?

Twitter discussion suggests the infamous "Devil's Triangle" Wikipedia edit came from a House of Representatives IP address, with further suggestion being it was suspiciously close to one known to be previously associated with Lindsey Graham:-

Not an expert on IP address ranges, but does that suggest staffers were expecting certain answers and poised to edit Wikipedia accordingly? Rogue element on the staff, or more sinister disinformation effort?

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that trump and eric trump personally directed an effort in February to stop Stormy Daniels from publicly describing her alleged sexual encounter with Trump which contradict public statements made last year by the Trump Organization, the White House and Mr. Cohen.

re-reading this..
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/07/us/politics/tru...

What did McConnell know at the time, did all the GOP know this, which is why it was rushed, a letter from 65 women prepared, Kavanaugh started phoning old friends to silence them...

After President Trump was caught on camera telling a reporter she “never” thinks, the White House moved to retroactively alter the president’s attack at a Monday afternoon press conference by changing a word in the official transcript. While the president told ABC News reporter Cecilia Vega, “I know you’re not thinking. You never do,” the White House transcript reads, “I know you’re not thanking. You never do.”

He could have said either word. It doesn't really matter because whichever it was he's still being a petty little tt.
