They are doing it without all the restrictions though so even if they end up as bad as the UK case/death wise - they did it without the extra health issues we are just kicking down the road.
There's loads of restrictions in Sweden! Why do people can't pretending they're just going about their normal business!?

Don’t talk nonsense, everyone knows the virus doesn’t spread between 09:00 - 17:30.

Just like the lads on the shop floor in work, around 5000 of them working together every day safely with no COVID cases.

But no no, a house party with 20 people ... or the pub packed full of strangers, that’s all fine.

Sorry Rh14n, did I say I’d seen my mum or been anywhere near her? You know what they say about assuming ... you can apologies when you are ready.
Ah Vader, you're quite right. I do apologise for making the assumption that someone who has just carried on as normal, attending house parties, ignoring all and any rules for the past six months would be visiting his mother. Clearly, you are right and I am wrong. You're a great guy. rolleyes

Yeah that was my first thought, can’t be there though as to quote earlier “ there are no cases” and I personally know people there who’ve tested positive, it’s not any of the food processing places they are regularly in the local press with outbreaks so I’m at a loss

Hopefully they don't, with no laws against driving for fun I was fancying a welsh hoon trip with some mates in a few weeks time - a non-lockdown wales would be great, even better if we could have a nice pub lunch and swerve the tesco sandwiches too!

Drakefords going to announce new rules for when lockdown finishes

Mr Drakeford said there will be a basic set of national rules in Wales.

He added: “They (the rules) will be simpler and clearer, and it will allow for something beyond what we have had during the firebreak period.”

The First Minister said there would be a different set of rules for people meeting up, but that he would set those changes out later today.

He did say: “They will go beyond what people are able to do now. We will preserve a distinction between what people can do indoors and what they can do outdoors.”

New measures to stop the english coming over the border?

I can't see why England didn't lock down for half term, we basically let people grab holidays, spread stuff around. Apparently Devon and Cornwall were rammed with holiday makers

MORE than 200 vehicles were stopped on one of the main roads into the county as part of police and council stop-checks to ensure drivers are following Wales lockdown regulations.

Today, October 31, police have said more than 220 vehicles were stopped on the main A477 road, with many turned back for non-essential travel.

Within hours of Pembrokeshire entering week one of the 17-day Wales-wide ‘fire-break’ lockdown last Friday, October 23, a family drove all the way from Sussex to west Wales.

Last Friday, October 23, Pembrokeshire Council Leader Cllr David Simpson, called on everyone to work together to ensure people will observed the lockdown.

David Simpson is an idiot, ramping up rhetoric again against 'outsiders' like he did last lockdown.

There's some expensive fines

A TRIP to Johnston to buy cigarettes and orange juice during the first coronavirus lockdown period earlier this year has proved costly for a Pembroke man.

Christopher Jenkins, of Valence Walk, found the case against him proved in his absence under the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court, on October 20.

The court heard that Jenkins, aged 26, was caught on April 16 at Ferry Lane, Pembroke Dock, away from the place he was living during the emergency period without reasonable excuse, having travelled to a petrol station at Johnston to buy cigarettes and orange juice, leaving Pembroke at approximately 8pm and returning via Milford Haven.

He was fined £660, with prosecution costs of £85 costs and a £66 victim surcharge.

He's sticking to his word then, lifting the lockdown.

For all those people ranting earlier on about our firebreak, would you have preferred the England 4 week lock down that's coming in?

Are you saying that fire breaks or whatever aren't working? If so I'd say that it's too soon to tell, there's a lag between cause and effect.

Also it may just slow the increase in cases which is impossible to measure I'd have thought.

You can debate the merits or otherwise of a lockdown and that's fine.

But if you are going to have one then why on earth would you not use the half term break as an opportunity? Johnson's decision making is very strange.

Nope - I'm saying you can see why it was put in place, with everywhere bar a couple of places showing rises.
I just wish England had done the same lockdown for half term - no idea why people were allowed to travel for holidays

Even Drakeford said it would be too soon to see the results straight away.
