If Boris comes back with a reheated May deal which is looking likely is that the Conservatives finished?

I for one will be voting for the Brexit party if this is the case.
That depends on whether it gets through Parliament and we leave on the 31st... If we do I can see an easy Tory win despite your vote...
I would be amazed if it was to get through the House of Commons. The opposition are only wanting to remain. I can't see enough leavers think the deal is good enough.

Just need to see the fine details but even with a change in the backstop, it's still an EU treaty.

I'm out of the loop here but is Deepend actually slasher (coloquial not derogatory)?
It certainly has been suggested that he has had several ID's here.
AJD, Slasher, Gloria Slap and at least one other alias have been mentioned.
As to the truth of any of it,.........

AJD/// was slasher. No doubt. Gloria brings back memories.

It's the constant Guardian quoting that does it for me.

I'd rather buy the coffee.

Don't know about interesting, depressing is more the word I'd use if this is true. Proof positive there's no desire whatsoever to move things forward for the good of the country, just an interest in undermining the current government still further as part of a shameless pursuit of a power grab....

Maybe, after all the accusations thrown at Brexiteers these past few years, DeepEnd has just realised that the good old 'Europe' he's been fawning over might just actually be that little bit more raaaaaacist than little GB!

Ah, AJD///, I see where the slasher part comes from now.

I do find it slightly strange ,that whoever he is/was , he hasn't to date criticised the racism displayed
at last nights game.

It’s not only our friend deepend though, he/she has a small flotilla of hangers on. I spend plenty of time in and around the Southern tip of France (Var Region), we have dear friends there. The French despise the Arabs who live in a nearby enclave, almost a border between the two.

I see one of those hangers on just popped up momentarily and sank without a trace!

I don't think they're inherently any more or less racist than we are, it's just that when it comes to tackling racism we've graduated from University - and are working towards a PHD - while a lot of them are still at primary school. The fact we've had a much more culturally diverse population for a lot longer probably means we've had to be more pro-active in addressing the racism issue but whatever the reason only a fool would argue we're not well ahead of most other European countries on this...

Yeah agreed, it makes a total mockery of trying to get a deal in the first place. Just veto anything by the Tories.

We're also much more inclined, culturally, away from Europe and to all corners of the earth. Shared heritage (not always mutually beneficial), trade and conquest link us to North America (South America in a smaller way) , the Caribbean, India, Africa, Australasia......
The legacy of the English language really sets us apart from the continental Europeans.
Now that isn't me wanting to turn back time to some kind of golden age, that is simply who we are right now because of our history.

UK also sets the worlds time zones, we are bang in the middle of the time zone variables which gives a huge advantage for world trade.

Add in the worlds chosen business language and a stable legal system and it makes UK the perfect base for global trading.

My sources are telling me the UK negotiating team has basically caved in.

Boris has capitulated.

Sources smorshes.

Negotiation is ongoing. Unless you have a webcam in the room or are part of the ERG or DUP who were briefed then you haven’t got the effing scoobiest.

What’s the spreadsheet looking like?

Until they break tomorrow morning nobody has any idea how this will work out. That they haven’t is good news. Unless you wanted to remain all along.
