For example Bill Gates donates millions to charity. That's anathema to many on PH. They will give you umpteen reasons why charities are corrupt self-serving organisations and why the only one they donate to is Help for Heroes. Therefore Bill Gates is a "leftie".
I read somewhere yesterday (sorry, can't remember the source) that American Conservative households give an average of 30% more to charity than American Liberal households.
Yeah, but which charities?

The frailty with that line is Trump has instigated violence his followers have been only too happy to act upon. Moreover, the question is what do you want form a leader of a global superpower in dangerous times? A man who is respected, who brings people with him, someone you can do business with? or a boor who antagonises practically every leader he meets, who constantly acts beneath the dignity of the office, has an obsession with women's blood, is a serial liar & whom invents enemies to shore up his support & distract from his manifold weaknesses. Don't bother answering, I already know & frankly, I can't take the spelling.

Rwagan: Tear down this wall.
Kennedy: Ask not what your country can do for you...

Trump::Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came.to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!
Sorry but I am going to answer so more bad English coming up.
You may find it strange but I agree with you I've said it before I don't particularly like Trump and would rather him not be the most powerful man in the world.
I see though why he is, and because of that I will support him to a fashion and defend him.

The left metropolitan elites or whatever you want to call them have had there own way for far to long and in my opinion created major problems and ultimately even bigger future problems. They no longer represent the normal person and don't even understand them.

If Trumps the person to give them a slap back into reality and if that means him being bit of a dick posting some daft tweets I can live with that. Just as long as he doesn't start ww3.
Trump is the vehicle the GOP are using, make no mistake there. He is in power for one reason and that is GOP. There is no shift in power, peoples power or boy from outside the system done good. There are two parties in the US with any real chance of power. Everyone else are just also rans.

The GOP picked this horse for the GOP policies. Now they must be wondering and there will be a point where they part ways if this continues. Crystal ball time and mine is bust.

If he serves two terms, it will all go back to the established way after his time. He will be a footnote in history.

Thinking about the CNN thing makes me wonder if Idiocracy was perhaps more prophetic than it had intended. Maybe the Dems should call on the services of The Rock for the next election.

It's great.
perhaps he should be shoving cigars up his interns in the Oval Office and the media would love him then.

Or simply "looking Presidential" while bombing half the world. The media seemed to approve of that.

Well, he's already authorised a few bombing raids and missile attacks so he's managed 50% of that brief. He's struggling with the "Presidential" part of the job description though.

At least she probably is at the same mental age level as the President.
And yet he is still president, still unimpeached and is putting up with all the crap that is being thrown at him from every angle and trying to do what he said he would.

I know many do not like him but he said he would pull the US out of a bad Climate change deal, he has done it, he has got a partial travel ban in place and he has not had a full year yet.

I would like him to have a chance to do the job he was elected fair and square to do and stand or fall on that
Give them a chance - there's so much to go through - so much it'll take a while. I mean, Trumps finances, his loans from the russians, then there's his campaign teams and administrative teams links to the russians and the election assistance...

With Nixon it was easy and that took a long time. With the donald, there's so much....

I had dropped a flippant reply in but I do not think it was in good taste.

However, not knowing why or wherefore etc. Obama had two years with ISIS kicking off here and there, Trump is just starting. And he seemed to relish telling the Chinese leader that he had done it, obviously to prod him over NK, I think we should compare after Trump leaves office.

Were you accusing Bush Jr. of "looking Presidential" ?

And yes, I think judgement after their time in office would be a good idea. Bombs per hour or simply the number of dead children?

Such is Trump's standing in the world it looks like he's going to sneak into the UK for a visit.

So not an "official state visit" then.

That's fair enough - no gilded coach down The Mall, no embarrassing meeting with Her Maj.

Comparing what Obama did by the end of his term and using that to compare to the current incumbent.

And no, I do not want to see any bombing but I am not in charge.

Odd. This sort of low-key fast in, fast out visits are usually reserved for places like Iraq, or Afghanistan.

And now the UK.

There have been approximately 600 civilians killed by US bombs since February. That's only the ones the US have admitted to and that's only the ones in Syria. That's 4 times the number killed by Obama during his entire 8 year presidency.

There seems to be a bit of an overreaction to the wrestling video. Yes, it’s bizarre that the President is using an official twitter account to stpost 4chan memes. It’s not incitement to violence though. Just a crap joke. Going over the top on stuff like this makes it easier for him to represent all of the genuine concerns about him that show up in the media as personal attacks.

Agreed. "The President behaving like a stroppy teenage girl", whilst accurate, is just going to reinforce his supporters views that he's hard done by.

His critics need to focus on his policies and his constant lying.
