To be more accurate it's a black person alleging racial profiling which was headline news at a time when lots of people (globally) are "taking the knee" and there are large scale demonstrations and disturbances in the UK.

so tell us, what response IS acceptable? It seems to me that mixed in with the obviously bad answers in that list are some which could be perfectly acceptable... Or am I missing the point here? Is there never a right answer if the other person is determined to see fault?

... Or more relevantly what do any of those replies have to do with a vehicle being driven eratically (wrong side of the road), taking to the backstreets (appeared to be trying to evade police) and failing to stop ?

I only caught parts of the grilling of Cressida Dick by Yvette Cooper and the Home Affairs Committee, that I think included Diane Abbott, about progress in the Met tackling racism since the murder of Stephen Lawrence and subsequent McPherson report, but it could have come across that Olympic athletes should somehow be treated differently.

Treating people differently just because they're Olympians isn't compatible with the Constable's Oath.

Thanks. So they felt safer rattling through the backstreets rather than stopping on a main road with a van load of police officers for company. Does not compute ...

I've come across the odd Walt in my time but never came across a van load of them who managed to get the look of the TSG down to a tee (complete with personnel carrier).
