Barr is set to publicly testify on 2nd May before the House Judiciary Committee, run by Democratic Chair Jerry Nadler. The House Judiciary Committee is where the impeachment process starts.

Expect Barr to be questions about his inaccurate summary of the Mueller report. Will he get caught out lying to further protect trump, exposing himself to possible perjury charges?

Whoops!

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

Our Border Control Agents have done an incredible job under very adverse conditions. I am very proud to have increased their salaries because of the great job they do. Nobody deserves it more. THANK YOU and keep up the outstanding work!

They are doing great work but...1st, it's Border PATROL. 2nd, you tried to freeze federal employee salaries -- including CBP & USBP -- but Congress passed a 1.9% raise for this year. https://www.vox.com/2019/3/12/18261739/trump-budge... … 3rd, your gov't shutdown caused BP agents to work w/out pay for weeks.

North Korea issued a $2 million bill for the hospital care of Otto Warmbier and insisted that a U.S. official sign a pledge to pay it before being allowed to fly him home in 2017. The official signed the agreement on instructions from none other than Donald J. Trump.
That could be played in 2 ways;

1. Trump, not wanting to cause the family any further anguish, agreed as a humanitarian gesture to pay what was effectively a ransom to the North Koreans; OR

2. Trump, greedy for any and all public acclaim and veneration, determined to do a deal with KJU, happily tried to bribe him using US taxpayers money.
1. trump could say that and not pay - I mean he has form
2. This is much more the likely scenario, after all it's not his money.

The bill went to the Treasury Department, where it remained — unpaid — throughout 2017, the people said. However, it is unclear whether the Trump administration later paid the bill, or whether it came up during preparations for Trump’s two summits with Kim Jong Un.

Fred and Cindy Warmbier sued North Korea in December over their son’s death and were awarded $501 million in damages — money that the Kim regime is unlikely ever to pay. But Judge Beryl A. Howell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia said the award was “appropriate to punish and deter North Korea” for the “torture, hostage taking and extrajudicial killing of Otto Warmbier.”

Remember that, in Hanoi, President Trump said he believed Kim Jong Un didn't know about Otto Warmbier's death. "He tells me that he didn’t know about it, and I will take him at his word...I don’t believe he would have allowed that to happen."

Then there's Khashoggi...

The worry then that his supporters, very probably encouraged by him, will go all Y'all Qaeda and rise up against the "Commie Takeover of 'Murica" (already a bit late for that but hey hoe) & it could get VERY messy
I think that is a genuine possibility. trump has already encouraged and implied it, and one thinks he will do so more as his mental wellbeing further declines.
fk em.

If they wish to get their gribbly little knickers in a twist then they will be dealt with. This is America not Afghanistan.
Totally agree

When something as commonplace and decent as free press is labelled as "the enemy of the people" you are on a slippery slope.

Hannitys talk of a coup is downright irresponsible and he should be sanctioned for it.

The Trump administration has waived part of the punishment for five megabanks whose affiliates were convicted and fined for manipulating global interest rates. One of the Trump administration waivers was granted to Deutsche Bank — which is owed at least $130 million by President Donald Trump and his business empire, and has also been fined for its role in a Russian money laundering scheme.

The waivers were issued in a little-noticed announcement published in the Federal Register during the Christmas holiday week. They come less than two years after then-candidate Trump promised “I'm not going to let Wall Street get away with murder.”

Only the best...

Lara Trump told Fox Business host Stuart Varney on Thursday that allowing refugees into the country was “the downfall of Germany.” She added, “It was one of the worst things that ever happened to Germany.”

“This president knows that. He’s trying to prevent it from happening,” Trump continued.

Almost unbelievably, this is real. I suppose his inability to spell 'chief' gives it away, and also the fact that he appears to have actually made this up himself as there is no credit for this bizarre quote...

Things have gone so totally 'Twilight Zone' that I think sometimes it is best just to shrug and try to appreciate that we are living in 'interesting times' and have hope that someday this will really be over.
