I'm not.

I shall infer from the lack of easy answer from a Muslim that it is fair to consider that you are not happy for this.

On that basis it's not unfair to presume you're an Islamist.

A Muslim who puts faith and adherence to it above freedom and democracy.

That's ok though, please debate from that view. I'm fine with it. We'll all be better educated.
Wow, it gets worse. laugh

At this point, I am surprised you're still expecting answers...

Still can't see how ridiculous it is - like a Borat scene.
I'm sorry for you, your religion is obviously too dangerous for you to criticise

Don't worry about the answer, I now understand that you can't answer it because it could put you at risk of retribution.

I hope enlightenment comes to Islam in our lifetime and you can enjoy the same freedom to criticise we already enjoy.

Your Borat analogy is interesting, because its the same from where I'm sat. Just in the other direction.

Wow, bizzare!

I hope enlightenment comes to those with such prejudiced views!

Travel more, it helps.

We got into the travel debate a while ago, I am well travelled thank you.

I can say what I like about my God and its representation here on earth. I enjoy enlightened freedoms.

Do you?

I agree, it's a shame, he suckered me in a similar way a while ago, I should have learnt that they are not debating, or discussing. Just stirring to harvest options so they can re-enforce their already held opinion.

Yes he has expressed a view I will paste it below.

"I now understand that you can't answer it because it could put you at risk of retribution"

It's not normal to hold such prejudices.

I don't think feeding such prejudiced individuals will lead to any kind of debate.

Fortunately I am smarter than that.

I don't think answering such enlightened individuals would be healthy to my fragile beliefs

So I'm not going to accept anyone elses point of view that I could be scared of my fellow believers and would face peril if I dared to question or denounce the extreme parts of that belief
Fixed that for you.

Why not answer the question then ?

If it's not fear of retribution, what is it that is preventing you from simply answering ?

Do you agree or disagree that criticism of the Prophet should be punished ?

I’ll say it again. It’s not normal to be so prejudiced.

It’s literally give us answer x to this question or we will think you’re Y

You should be less prejudiced, you’ll be a better person for it.

It's surely an easy question to answer though. I have a friend who has said it is not acceptable to insult Mohammed, and he wouldn't do it himself but understands others who might do something violent about it. This is partly because to him an insult is not a debate or anything, so just wrong. Yet he also views it as ok to make fun of Trump supporters and Americans. Not as a debate, just insult them as he disagrees with them like many of us. It's a hypocrisy, and unless moderates call it out then it will lead to problems. It's a lesser extent now, but I see the problem with Christians who I have grown up with - they won't call out bad behavior by Christians for some reason.

I have no problem with you. Or Islam in general but it's odd that I don't get into discussions like this with Jews, Sikhs, catholics, Buddhists or any of the other religions.

We are just trying to discuss but you won't engage other than to dismiss or call us names.

Now I'm left thinking that you agree that those who draw or criticise your prophet should be punished but cannot type that because we will automatically label you as an extremist.

You’re wasting your time GDL.

I do find it interesting though that despite both the apostate and the kuffar in this thread sharing the same opinions on Islamism, jamoor only calls the kuffar prejudiced.

It's sad, and it's why we will never see an end to disputes.

They are right, everyone else is wrong.

I can't even get any discussion out of him, it's all sidesteps and insults.

Very fragile to need such defence.

Followers of Islam seem too afraid of either examining or confronting their own beliefs or perhaps the subsequent opinions of their fellow believers to engage in the key point of the debate, namely, do they personally believe that people who create and publish images of Mohammed in a non-islamic country should be punished in any way at all?

It is a point of free speech within non-islamic countries and a point of centuries old religious aggression within Islam.

Personally I don't think its an insult to be called prejudiced if you are.

Dictionary definition of prejudice -

"an unfair and unreasonable opinion or feeling, especially when formed without enough thought or knowledge:"

Quote from you below..

"Now I'm left thinking that you agree that those who draw or criticise your prophet should be punished but cannot type that because we will automatically label you as an extremist."

It's simple, because I don't answer your question X or give you the answer Z I must be Y.

It's totally ridiculous and personally I thought we had left such thinking behind.

If you haven't figured out you won't get answers and you can be left to your own prejudices. (whcih really is a shame, you will be a much better person without them, I am sure we can both agree on that at least)

I'm also amazed that you can't see the link between the Jewish yellow stars and the situation in hand... it's almost as though you're blind to it.

I don't know how many people you are referring to as "kuffar" but if its the prejudiced ones in this thread then that's the correct definition.

I'm not for one second wanting stars to be worn to denote what sort of Muslim you are.

I'm simply wanting any Muslim that thinks that someone who criticises Islam should be punished to realise that is an extreme view and unsuitable for peaceful life in the west among people who don't hold the same beliefs.

I am not suggesting we go for some kind of Muslim segregation ( or even holocaust if we take it to the conclusion we already saw in history) I just think that an enlightenment is needed to try to help compatibility.

Let's face it, if your extreme guys carry on our extreme guys will probably step up, we already have trouble with our "right wing" and their opinions towards your faith.

Why add to the problem? Unless you have an unshakeable view that you are right and all others are wrong.
