Even if no aircraft found, you’d think that there would be personal affects washed up, I’d, wallets, handbags etc.
Nothing.
If it turns really break up on crashing then maybe not. If it glided slowly to see then it would have sunk without a trace.Nothing.
My interesting story is a few years ago I was on a wine tour her in WA (Western Australia) and the view was it landed a few thousand kms off our cost, and I met a guy on this wine tour who was a cartographer on a search ship and was on a shift break when i met him. He was 1 of 2 boats looking and he said protocol if they found 'A shape' was to signals the other boat who would do the remote search but interestingly kill all comms so nothing could be communicated to outside world for a few days whilst they confirmed.

I thought bits of wreckage had been washed up. On most third world beaches away from tourist resorts there is so much junk, plastic, rubber, shoes, plastic bags, nappies, crates, fishing junk, rope, etc that it is probably unlikely that any personal effects would stand out. Nothing.
Watched a show a while ago that documented it, there's a couple of new private companies looking after new research suggested their original search location was quite away off. Confirmed to a degree by the fact quite a lot of stuff washed up in East Africa, which was combined with that new research into tidal patterns around the time it went down. I can't help but think little will be found after this much time... and perhaps to a degree, what's the point?
This American guy has been find pieces including wreckage and some personally items too.

Highly unlikely. Over 1000 aircraft built and 7 hull losses. The only design related issue was the FOHE blockage at LHR. MH117 missing with no known cause so not counted a a hull loss despite being ... err .... lost.
You’ve got your flight numbers mixed up there old chap. MH370 is the one that disappeared, MH17 is the one the Russians accidentally shot down.Today's news. I'd be terrified looking out the window.

Does anyone know if they are even still searching in any capacity?
I think AreOut is still out there looking. He definitely knew exactly where it was, and has been absent from PH for a while. Must be gathering all the debris ready for shipping it home, victoriously.hidetheelephants said:
